Hello CO forum!

I'm posted this looking for feedback for a Force/Might toon I have in the works. I tried one Pre-Alert and wasn't happy so it was scrapped. But now i'd like to try out another one. I have one or two builds on test but with no way I know of testing with high end gear, I'm using Merc gear and my results are...meh. Anyway here's the build as it is now:

PowerHouse (Link to this build)

Name: Comet Girl

Archetype: Freeform

Super Stats:
Level 6: Strength (Primary)
Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
Level 15: Intelligence (Secondary)

Talents:
Level 1: The Devastator
Level 6: Still working out which talents to go with :/
Level 9:
Level 12:
Level 15:
Level 18:
Level 21:

Powers:
Level 1: Force Bolts (Energy Refraction)
Level 1: Unleashed Rage (Rank 2, Rank 3)I'd proably use Force Blast/Eruption for leveling
Level 6: Mighty Leap (Crippling Challenge, Nailed to the Ground)
Level 8: Invulnerability (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Roomsweeper (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 14: Enrage (Endorphin Rush)
Level 17: Inexorable Tides (Instep Crush, Challenging Strikes)
Level 20: Force Shield (Force Sheathe)
Level 23: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 29: Imbue
Level 32: Force Cascade (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 35: Masterful Dodge
Level 38: Lock N Load (Two Smoking Barrels)

Travel Powers:
Level 6: Power Flight
Level 35: Athletics (Rank 2)

Specializations:
Strength: Swole (3/3)
Strength: Aggression (2/2)
Strength: Brutality (2/2)
Strength: Overpower (3/3)
Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
Guardian: Tenacious (2/2)
Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

As for a passive I'm leaning heavily toward Invulnerable for theme, but I could potentially go for a dual-passive build with either Unstoppable (to take further advantage of knocks) or possibly Quarry (to stack INT and Ego and avoidance).

So if anyone could give advice/feedback I'd be very grateful

So, I'm not really sure what ur making the main attack here. If its FC, then you'll need better energy return and stats (Defiance and some End gearing could help a bunch there, and free up some adv points). If FC is just for when you have excessive energy or when energy refraction procs (or using an AO w/ an energy form)- that's okay, but what ability will you be using at mid-low energy? And do you plan on incorporating Haymaker or Demolish w/ BtB?

    First, thanks for replying!

Defiance might be the way to go after all. Aside from energy return, Defiance could also increase Endorphin Rush as well.

As for Haymaker or Demolish, I was trying to avoid an excess of attacks. My hope was to use Inex Tides (or one of the Uppercuts possibly) to build knock resist to let loose with Roomsweeper. But I suppose Haymaker or Demolish would be better boss killers, wouldn't they?

Overall, I suppose my hope would be to use Cascade (tap or charge depending) to clear mobs then charge in with melee to beatdown everything else, occasionally building enough energy for Unleashed Rage or proccing Energy Refraction to unleash another Cascade.

Were I to take Defiance and Haymaker (in place of Invuln and Roomsweeper) would FC and Unleashed Rage be enough area damage?

Yea, FC is great as AoE, provided ya have the energy to support. Only quirk is having to line up enemies to make the most of its cylinder coverage, but w/ some practice you'll get the hang of that. UR would be best vs. packs of clumped/melee mobs otherwise (and when its up). Ya can also tab-around Tides and the lunge in melee to threat-up mobs so they attack you for Defiance energy w/o having to use much energy urself.

I'll have to test it later but now looks a bit like this:

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Intelligence (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Devastator
    Level 6: Physical Conditioning
    Level 9: Body and Mind
    Level 12: Healthy Mind
    Level 15: Boundless Reserves
    Level 18: Negotiator
    Level 21: Investigator

    Powers:
Level 1: Force Bolts (Energy Refraction)
Level 1: Unleashed Rage (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 6: Mighty Leap (Crippling Challenge, Nailed to the Ground)
    Level 8: Defiance
Level 11: Inexorable Tides (Instep Crush, Challenging Strikes)
    Level 14: Enrage (Endorphin Rush)
Level 17: Force Shield (Force Sheathe)
    Level 20: Haymaker (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 23: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 26: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 29: Ego Surge (Nimble Mind)
Level 32: Force Cascade (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Masterful Dodge
Level 38: Lock N Load (Two Smoking Barrels)

    Travel Powers:
Level 6: Power Flight (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Athletics (Rank 2, Rank 3)

Hopefully, with END/REC in talents plus insanely high INT (like 250 i assume), i can fire off a LnL boosted Cascade (or else use Ego Surge as energy form) at top of fight.

I guess next step would to decide between Vindicator tree for damage or Protector for all out tanking.

A STR/CON/INT Force/Might build using Enrage works best in my opinion as an AoPM build if you plan on FC'ing at all. Otherwise, you can tap it occasionally and that's about it.

Defiance + some End and Int gearing will help fine enough if FC isn't supposed to be the main spell. Tides can be the cheap close-up AoE- though I'd prob get it to at least rank 2 (rooting isn't really needed w/ a lunge + NttG, at least for pve).

Only thing to watch out for ES/NM: NM is an energy form, so using FC will end the crit buff it gives in return for the cost discount- that could be counter-productive if you end it too early.

Defiance is helpful only if you're getting hit consistently. Even then, as you said, FC still can't be used at will. With AoPM, you have the option of going heavy melee or heavy ranged, in pretty much any situation.

Trust me, Force/Might has been one of my favorite combos since beta. I've put it through just about every configuration you can imagine.

Yeah if it was a build trying to spam FC, I'd advise things a bit differently. Fortunately, the amount of leeway ya have building something that only conditionally uses FC vs. as the main attack is a bit larger.

yeah i know full well that this will by no means let me spam FC, moreso having it for flavor whenever an energy form procs.

I was mostly interested in a super strength/energy projection build. Unfortunately I can't stand Plasma Beam's targeting otherwise i'd go that route :/
