lately I been watching a ton of blade and several other vampire movies which inspired me to dust off my favorite castlevania games ( The good ones not the lord of shadow series  ) and gave me the idea of trying to make something that could work in champs. I was going for a sort of vampire halfsie. I took regeneration ( love regen ) and devour essence to serve as vamp like powers along with the bat flight. I decided to go with guns and swords just because it seemed like a good idea at the time, and I took vicious cyclone for an aoe and because it makes me think of the whip from castlevania plus I always wanted to be able to use a whip as a weapon in any mmo. Anyway I hope it turned out alright I'm not the best builder there is any feedback like always is appreciated

This is my advice on how to tweak the build just a bit, while still keeping the core of what you were looking for in mind.

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name:

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Dexterity (Primary)
    Level 10: Intelligence (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Specialist
    Level 6: Shooter
    Level 9: Martial Focus
    Level 12: Professional Athlete
    Level 15: Impresario
    Level 18: Wordly
    Level 21: Relentless

    Powers:
    Level 1: Gunslinger
Level 1: Reaper's Caress (Rank 2, Cleaving Strikes)
    Level 6: Two-Gun Mojo (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 8: Regeneration (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Form of the Swordsman
Level 14: Vicious Cyclone (Rank 2, Vortex Technique)
    Level 17: Dragon's Bite (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 20: Reaper's Embrace (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Resurgent Reiki)
Level 26: Vile Lariat (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 29: Molecular Self-Assembly
    Level 32: Devour Essence
    Level 35: Masterful Dodge
Level 38: Ego Surge (Nimble Mind)

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Athletics (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 35: Bat Flight (Rank 2, Rank 3)

    Specializations:
    Dexterity: Combat Training (2/3)
    Dexterity: Gear Utilization (3/3)
    Dexterity: Evasion (2/2)
    Dexterity: Deadly Aim (3/3)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Retribution (2/2)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (2/3)
Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (2/3)
    Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
    Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Mastery: Dexterity Mastery (1/1)

A note on the changes. I added Dragons bite to proc Rush off of FOTS stacks (I'd personally consider FOTT, but FOTS will work well here with all of the built in bleed stacking)

I also added in BCR/RR and MD into the build as with Dex PSS'd you'll have a healthy dodge/avoid chances and that will also aid Regeneration in situations where it's own healing is overwhelmed.

And following Gradii's advice I added in Vile Lariat for a knock to and additional bleed for Rupturing. And I replaced Lock N Load with Ego Surge/NM advantage as that will jump your already considerable crit bonus up and provide good damage when you need it.

Lastly I changed the SSS'ds to Int and Con. Regen scales with Con, it'll add more HP's and generally make you a bit tougher to take down, and Int will work well with MSA which I slotted in for an Energy Unlock to keep the build fueled up on Energy from your short cooldowns BCR should drive it well, popping it going into fights.

I also forgot to mention that Cyclone with the Vortex advanatage that I slotted in will be handy to corrale mobs and clump them together for you, for then using Reapers Caress with Cleaving stacks as an Aoe smack to stack bleeds/take them down more quickly.

You'll find that this build will still put out nice DPS without Ego or Str SSS'd and should be a bit tougher.

This is just my suggestion though to make the build a bit more well rounded and keep to the theme of what you wanted with the character.

You've put together a fun concept here, and what looks to be a really fun character. Hope the advice helps you.

I like the idea and I can suggest two different builds slightly retooled. Gradii & crgmoore had many good suggestions. But crgmoore seemed to have skipped on the tank advantages you put there (for PvE or PvP I do not know).

    FIRST VERSION

Keeps your stat array, but exploits the talents to get you some CON and Energy. STR &EGO are usually avoided as SSS since you hit a severe DR cap at around 70. i.e. the added damage from EGO&STR stops increasing as much as it does before you stats are 70. However, for a tank the knock/hold resists provided by the stats are attractive. And they synergize with Vindicator Mastery to give you even more damage than before. Since you love chains/whips the TP of choice is Swinging with the Flipping advantage to grant you a small Dodge/Avoidance package combined with DEX specs (awful scaling btw) and The Elusive Monk.

    SECOND VERSION

Is the same but with CON for better tanking and INT for energy management and cooldown reduction.

I do prefer the first for casual PvE content, but that's just my personal choice

Yeah when I was rearranging the rankings and advantages I went for DPS rather than tanking, I wasn't thinking there, and I apologize for that but the advantages could be rearranged for tanking.

I like Alfgorns take on the build as well, all in all, I say use the advice you find here and fine tool the build for yourself, the way that you like it, you've gotten some good advice all around and Gradii and Alfgorn have both been big helps to me in the past.

All in all, there is nothing more satisfying, to me at least, than taking the advice I recieve on this forum and then tweaking my own builds with things that others helpfully show me. It's definitely a fun build and certainly has me considering making one akin to it as I adore the chain powers but have never been able to come up with a reason to take them in a build. So I thank you for that.

I hope you enjoy your build, however it turns out, and have fun with it.

I could not agree more! Meditate on the advice to learn the subtleties of charbuilding and then find your own way!

Reapers Caress w/ adv, Bullet Beatdown w/ adv, Vicious Cyclone, AND lead Tempest? Way too redundant in power choice. Stick with 1 range AoE and 1 melee AoE.

    Don't rank up your Form.

Specialization Dodge does not stack well with Parry's or Lead Tempest's Advantages.

Now that you have freed up powers from removing redundant ones. Get a lunge, perhaps the Void Shift with the fear Adv. You could get bite instead of Reaper's Caress to apply bleed and to help increase the heal from Devour Essence's Adv.

Here's a build change based on what I suggested:

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name:

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Dexterity (Primary)
    Level 10: Ego (Secondary)
    Level 15: Strength (Secondary)

    Level 15: Impresario
    Level 18: Wordly
    Level 21: Relentless

    Powers:
    Level 1: Gunslinger
Level 1: Bullet Beatdown (Rank 2, Not Without Incident)
Level 6: Two-Gun Mojo (Crippling Challenge, Nailed to the Ground)
    Level 8: Bite (Furor Venenum)
Level 11: Form of the Swordsman (Cut Where it Counts)
Level 14: Devour Essence (Rank 2, Phlebotomist)
    Level 17: Regeneration (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 20: Reaper's Embrace (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Void Shift (Emerging Nightmares)
Level 26: Parry (The Elusive Monk)
    Level 29: Breakaway Shot
    Level 32: Lock N Load (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Resurgence
Level 38: Lead Tempest (Rank 2)

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Athletics (Rank 2)
Level 35: Bat Flight (Rank 2)

    Specializations:
    Dexterity: Combat Training (2/3)
    Dexterity: Gear Utilization (3/3)
    Dexterity: Evasion (2/2)
    Dexterity: Deadly Aim (3/3)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Retribution (2/2)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (2/3)
Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (2/3)
    Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
    Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Mastery: Dexterity Mastery (1/1)

You'll have more healing from Devour Essence, Bite makes things bleed fast and will now poison as well as give you a stack of Enrage to boost your focus on top of TGM's Concentration add on, targets can't heal so well, and your enemies will cower in fear.
