Trying to make a tank using Bullet Beatdown with other munition powers. The problem is I want to use Concentration as form. Anyone try this? Right now my tactic to keep Concentration stacks is to EM away, use Holdout Shot and leap back in. Tedious and sometimes if I get knocked I can't refresh the stacks in time. Any thoughts?
I would use TGM with Close the Gap as a Conc builder; should be quick to build initial stacks. Or pull from range with AR with Mow 'em Down or SMG to start your stack building. The problem with including TGM is it makes BB almost irrelevant.
I know you want to use Conc, but a BB-centric build would be so much easier with FotT. Is Conc mostly to maximize DPS from the other Muni powers and the minority ranged portion of BB?
My BB toon made it full melee w/ rank 2 + Nw/oI and a means of Enrage (Howl) instead of Concentration, using FotT and one of the melee passives or Quarry, since it was a dps.
Also went w/ Warden Mastery and wardicator (Nw/oI's dmg derives from the single-target dmg, so you want single-target crit). EU can be KI or MSA w/ some cds like Holdout shot. It worked well- does great boss dmg and splash dmg. Just gotta remember to keep up Enrage so Nw/oI is optimized..
I think the combo can also work w/ Manipulator due to the random procs; haven't tried that yet though.
Conc is for both to proc Not Without Incident and to be a true hybrid and use Lead Tempest w the adv that doubles under Conc. I tank with Laser Knight so having 2 ranged attacks within BB not be affected by LK's damage debuff was a plusTo hel while still keeping LK which last 3 sec. Its part of a 100% dodge build to take on Frosty AND Kenina at the same time.
I posted a suggestion that BB's last move proc stacks on Conc. Dunno why 2GM has this and not BB. Helbjorn made the good point -- with 2GM so good its hard to bother w BB that is so hard to use w Conc

Yup, which is why I went the melee and no-Concentration route. Otherwise it was hard to justify not just using TGM the whole time if its there for the Conc stack.
Here's how I'd make a BB+Muni tank, going the dodge route and leaving some stuff open:
Using Concentration vs FotT isnt a significant dps change since the second and the big fourth hit are ranged so half the hits benefit while also not debuffed by Laser Knight.
I think the only real way to maintain Concentration stacks while using Bullet Beatdown is to have another power going off at the same time that procs Concentration stacks. Sparkstorm with the adv is what I would use but you would need a LOT of energy return to pull this off. But if you can manage that, get the adv on Bullet Beatdown and you'd really do some crazy AoE damage.

Hmmm, that's not actually a bad idea. So far with STR/CON/INT and MSA I'm getting fairly decent energy returns. Maybe a lil more INT and it could work. Time for PTS!

Going Int primary to boost your Concentration and Defense Pen as high as possible as well as increasing your MSA energy return could make it work. But you'll need to throw in something into your combo with a cooldown. Maybe Holdout Shot since it fits with the theme and can heal you regularly while being usable between each combo with your high Int.
Crypticbuxom, the Sparkstorm toggle works and works with STR/CON/INT. Still got 4 mods of CON so I didn't have to sacrifice much. Just looks pretty way off theme though so I dunno if I will go this route.
