Advice on Dante/Devil May Cry style DPS

I was thinking of doing something like this for fun.

Mass Destruction, Slaughter, and Warden Mastery to buff Cleave for AoE.
MSA off Decimate, Conviction, and Eruption for what little energy returns I can get.
Enrage built off of Cleave and maintained when needed by Eruption.
Two Gun Mojo for single target damage?
Breakaway Shot just for the aesthetic and fun of it.
Defiance because I'm leveling without any kind of special gear to help me (still not sure how I should do that better) and because of diminishing returns on damage passives running into Enrage so quickly. Can always change this later if I have some kind of tank using challenging strikes and crippling challenge to keep things from eating my face.

Advice/suggestions?

    FotT would be an easier fit for a melee/ranged mix build like this than Enrage, but that would prob require changing the stating to Dex/Cont/Int, or something similar. It would work as current, but it would be tied to using certain moves to keep Enrage stacked and going. Also, one of the perks of getting an Enrage toggle is picking up UR, which isn't in this build.

    Also, ranking up MD is pretty much a waste of points. Rank1 already pushes you past 100% dodge and further ranks only give you a very small amount of avoidance.

    I would also trade the point in Rush of Battle for Merciless. RoB is fine when soloing, but at one point it really won't do enough to justify losing 5% severity over it, imo.

    Would also trade Modified Gear (which doesn't typically give much as it only works on Offense from gear) for Offensive Expertise, since you have 2 AOs anyways.
