Champions Offline?!?

Well, at least it seems so, given the apparent lack of developer activity, or amount of bug fixing for the game.

I suppose by now the game is essentially in "Maintenance Mode", until PWE/Cryptic decides to pull the plug on it's Life Support. Also, there's a rather rude notice at the top of my screen;

"Want to go Gold or manage your subscriptions, druhin? Click here!"

Why would I want to pay for Gold, when the game isn't being updated with any new content, on a frequent regular basis?

That's actually there because the change in website format made that option difficult to locate.

That said, I'm detecting a certain theme here in the recent new threads.

Was it necessary to include rudeness in your post? I have no intention of paying for a game which has seen very little (if any) updates in the form of new content in months (perhaps even years). I do not need that notice slapping me in the face, whenever I visit the forums (which is increasingly rare these days).

Fine then, be done with it and begone. I explained the reason for why it's there, and it's ultimately up to you to either deal with it or leave as you've threatened.

I suppose it was too much to ask, for some courteous discussion. "Get some" and "deal with it" doesn't exactly make me want to stick around either. I'd love, to love this game, but it's difficult when it's rarely ever updated anymore.

So what is my motivation for playing? (save the rudeness and sarcasm please)
