I'm not sure if this was the right spot for this but I was wondering if I could get some help with gearing my Inferno character. At first she felt nearly unkillable as I was mowing down mobs really quickly. But at around level 20 she felt very fragile and I found myself dying quite a bit. Now at level 26 its a little better since I ranked up Conflagration but I was wondering if I could supplement my survivability a little more with better gear. What would you guys recommend, more CON maybe invest in defensive sets like Armadillo or the nemesis set? Or just improve my offense so mobs go down even faster.
I always gear a decent amount of Con/HP when leveling, even if that kit doesn't have Con as a SS.
Unfortunately, the Inferno has one of the worst SS setups I've seen, but it does mean ya can ignore most Rec gearing and trade it for Con. For the Inferno I'd put my stat priority as Con ~ Ego > End > Dex > Rec
Everyone will prob have their own prefs on gearing. For leveling, mine is to use the Nemesis 2ndary heirloom gear and pick up 2-3 pieces of primary gear w/ Con on it from questing or the AH. Also, just make sure ya always have a good amount of healing packs from the vendor in MC (I have them hot-keyed on my device bar for ATs w/o heal powers), and fully rank up ur block power (which all ATs get).
NP. Oh, I forgot to mention, I'd prob skip Firestrike entirely on this kit- at least once ya get Conflag and pair it w/ Fireball's UA adv. Firestrike doesn't really serve much a purpose for the Infenro outside of being a cheap 100ft power, but its weak dps and its advs aren't very worthwhile. Skipping firestrike can free up adv points elsewhere (even the End Builder advs are better investments, imo). If ya need some group CC, pick up Pyre w/ Backdraft, since ya dun really need Firebreath w/ Conflag and Fireball around.
Armadillo gear is pretty good for leveling. I usually just go full Nemesis gear, but if you are lacking survivability, other "heirloom" type gear would definitely be an option.
Something else, since you get Recovery PSS, is choose options that enhance survivability over what you might choose at 40. Well Rounded and Rapid Recovery would definitely be high on my list as an Inferno.

Don't be like the Qularr. They would not last one round in the Interstellar Galactic Arena...
The nice thing about Well-Rounded in particular is that you'll get even more health out of it when gearing for Con heavily (and maybe some Dex if ya want better crit).
Inferno is one of those ATs where I wouldn't have much in the SS's total by lvl 40 (save for Ego), and then the SS passive dmg boosts won't be as good as they could be. So its nice to have something that gives you some benefit for stating non-SS's.
Its one of the few things I can give credit to the Rec PSS choice for the kit, since its not the type of build that can make great use of Super-Charged Scourge has a similar issue, where the SP EU is simply incompatible w/ a >90% energy mechanic- or the Impulse's End PSS, a kit that is also not going to have high energy w/o lotsa end building.
I have been running with half dillo gear and half of the DPS gear (from the Q store) and its been pretty amazing. At 27 Torch can take a good bit of damage and mobs rarely last long enough to be a serious threat. The entire experience with leveling has changed I'm pretty surprised by it.
