Physical or Not?

So looking over Quarry again to day and I see that it does more for physical damage than non-physical. But what the heck does that mean? I'm guessing bullets are physical. Probably arrows too, but is sonic damage physical? The fire portion from explosive arrow, is that physical?

I was once told Quarry was a good passive for power armor damage. But is the extra damage applied to the beams or only the guns and rockets?

Physical damage types = Piercing, Crushing, Slashing

Non-physical = the rest

for ex. many of PA's powers use Particle dmg, which is not one of the three listed up there, so those are Non-physical; but others are Piercing or Crushing, which is Physical.

Oh, and Quarry is decent even for Non-physical dmg builds, but it prob wouldn't be my first choice then (ex. for PA dps I'd prob take Targeting Computer instead, or take Ice Form for Fire/Ice builds, etc).
