Hanuman (Monkey King) build possible?

I would like to try out a Monkey King style build, but I'm not hundred percent where to start.

This is the description of the Monkey King.

Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, is a main character in the Chinese classical novel Journey to the West. Sun Wukong is also found in many later stories and adaptations. In the novel, he is a monkey born from a stone who acquires supernatural powers through Taoist practices. After rebelling against heaven and being imprisoned under a mountain by the Buddha, he later accompanies the monk Xuanzang on a journey to retrieve Buddhist sutras from India.
Sun Wukong possesses an immense amount of strength; he is able to lift his 13,500 jīn (7,960 kilograms (17,550 lb)) staff with ease. He is also extremely fast, able to travel 108,000 li (54,000 kilometres (34,000 mi)) in one somersault. Sun knows 72 transformations, which allow him to transform into various animals and objects; however, he is troubled in transforming into other forms, due to the accompanying incomplete transformation of his tail. Sun Wukong is a skilled fighter, capable of holding his own against the best warriors of heaven. Also, each of his hairs possess magical properties, capable of being transformed into clones of the Monkey King himself, and/or into various weapons, animals, and other objects. He also knows spells that can command wind, part water, conjure protective circles against demons, and freeze humans, demons, and gods alike.
One of the most enduring Chinese literary characters, Sun Wukong has a varied background and colorful cultural history. For example, Sun Wukong is considered by some scholars to be influenced by both the Hindu deity Hanuman from the Ramayana and elements of Chinese folklore.

So basically, Staff Oriented, with Ice powers, Fast, Strong, Cloning, and Wind... with a Trap/hold.

Is is possible to toss together something viable that would include these abilities?

Survivable would be great, Being able to hold his own with most of heaven's best warriors means survival against tough bosses.

Fast: Just pick up Acrobatics or Athletics as your first travel power. You'll go super fast, you can jump high / jump far, and you can backflip like a monkey all you want.

Staff: Unfortunately, Champions Online isn't very big on staves... but there are a few costume skins for the Heavy Weapons powerset: the Heavy Dragon's Eye Staff from the Hi-Pan Alert, and the Heavy Wizard's Staff from the Witch and Wizard cash shop set. I'm not sure if there are more, or if you can somehow wield a weapon device.

Ice, Wind, and Heavy Weapons: Because you want the Staff, I'd default to HW. Since HW applies disorient, and Wind takes advantage of disoriented enemies... and both HW and Wind deal crushing damage... I think your best bet is to focus on Heavy Weapons with some Wind substitutes (like taking Updraft instead of Eruption). Other Wind powers I would look at for you are Hurricane for some close range aoe (and this also can chill enemies, so there is your "freeze" spell), and Gust or Typhoon to apply Staggered. If you really want some Ice Powers, I would take Ice Sheath. Maybe Wall of Ice if you could find room between the HW and Wind spells.

I'd suggest something like DEX / CON / INT for a hybrid-crit-dodge build, or STR / CON / INT for a HW focused build with the Wind and Ice powers being more for CC and debuffing than damage. You'll probably take Molecular Self Assembly for your energy unlock, which is what the INT is for.

72 Transformations: I can't think of ANY power that transforms you into something else, aside from Vapor Form (which kinda sucks). However, you can easily make a metamorph character with Devices and Costumes. Because you joined in Aug of 2012, I'm going to assume you know this already XD

Cloning: Don't think there are any powers that project images of your character... I would suggest just using summon devices, and rationalizing them as "decoys" instead of straight up clones. Otherwise, in favor of theme over optimization, you could pick up something like Summon Shadows. You could rationalize it like: you know your clones are shadows, but the enemies don't, and that's why they attack them :p

sounds good. I'll try to formulate a build in a little while. I wanna see how much collaboration I will need to get it right.

I have just posted a Build Idea from what I've been instructed would be beneficial to my theme.

It's not good... I need help revising it. Please help me revise it to include these ideas>

    Strong
    Fast
    Staff Oriented
    Ice powers
    Wind Powers
    Survivable against tough bosses
and possibly a Trap/hold using any of these abilities or something else better.. Monkey King was able to trap demons in a circle of some sort... so Something along those lines while staying in theme would be good.

The character is a Taoist Master with an extremely formidable set of abilities.. Can we make it possible in game without being too gimped?

Here's my take. Stat mostly for Con / Str. You can pump Ego to 70 if you want to get the most out of any Wind / Ice powers you choose (not a huge deal). Can take whatever you like for the last 2 powers.... Wall of Ice would be nice to help proc MSA and give you a hold, for example. Experiment, don't take what I say word for word :)
