If they have to use an arbitrary method so we can get or trade with a vendor to get black and white versions, I'll be fine with that. The current hue system makes black, white and gray impossible.
If you think about it, wouldn't it be funny to see someone getting hit by nothing? Just think of it, invisible powers~

You know, in the PnP that is one of the Power Advantages you can buy...
"Science teaches us to expect -- demand -- more than just eerie mysteries. What use is a puzzle that can't be solved? Patience is fine, but I'm not going to stop asking the universe to make sense!"
The issue here, is that there are totally DIFFERENT processes for Black, White, and Grey. In Subtractive mode, Black is opaque, so as you lighten to your colors, they eventually disappear. In Additive mode, White is opaque, and as you darken your colors your powers disappear. Yes, we have Dark (Subtractive) powers, and we have Light (Additive) powers, but there's no simple/clean way to transition from one mode to the other as you drag your value slider from white to black or vice versa. The problem with Grey, is that in EITHER mode, it would be 1/2 transparent.
If any of you have experience in Photoshop, go in, open a picture of anything, make a new layer, and then paint a bright red stripe, then paint a white stripe, a black stripe, and a grey stripe. Now, set that layer to Multiply (Subtractive), then set it to Screen (Additive), and you'll see the issue.

Still, the transparent grey would suit telekinetic powers perfectly, and could be useful if you wanted a character without any flashy power hues at all.
I'll just add something. If the current system makes black powers impossible, white powers would totally work. Yes. One simple exemple : try stacking, say, two fire hair auras, one cyan and one red. What do you get ? A white aura. It's as simple as that. Auras work as spotlights right now, and if you can't produce shadow by crossing two light beams, you sure can produce white light. Setting all three color sliders to zero to produce black effects would just make them nonexistent (y'know.. zero everywhere is pretty self-explanatory). If you sling them all to the max, you certainly get a functionnal white effect. In fact, it wouldn't be hard at all for the developpers to add a "white" option.
I think i went full circle here. I hope I at least made the one thing clear.

if we had black we could make light speed into dark speed... but still it would be cool to have black or white powers
