This build is scheduled to hit PTS at 6:00pm, 2/21/2014

Release Notes for FC.31.20131213.23:


Powers:

  • Smoke and other perception-debuffing effects no longer work on Legendary and Cosmic enemies.


Fire and Ice:

  • Frosticus now contributes points to the scoreboard along with Kenina Blaze.


UI:

  • The invitation popup for private queues was not always appearing properly (the queue timer window popup would show instead). Fixed.

  • The timer window for private queues (when the mission is about to begin) is now different from other queues.

    Unfortunately there is an issue with PTS that requires us to take it down for the time being. It will return on Monday.

    I don't know if this helps or if you've already handled it but one of the issues with invites into the private queue, as well as the ability to remain in team for more than 5s sometimes, is due to the whitelist commands. I had whitelist_duels active on a toon and had these issues and then someone informed me to turn them off...and it did the trick. I hop this helps. :biggrin:

    Thanks for fixing this exploit.

    Do you guys know about the bug where you sometimes face the other boss while attacking one of them? It's really odd and happened to me a few times, like you end up facing the total opposite way of what you are shooting at.

    here is some things that the Rampage Alert messed up which need to be fixed

    Bug: Players who have Whitelist DUELs cannot be invited on Private Team Queue
    If the Player has Whitelist Duels or something else on Whitelist, is labeled that it's not accepting Team Invitations by the System, preventing people to invite him

    Bug: Nemesis Confrontation (NemCon) is DEAD
    Crisis in Monster Island and Lemuria are ALSO DEAD

    Those 3 Queue Instances shared the same Queue box with Sky Commander, with the ramade of the alert into Rampage, those 3 VANISHED! :mad:
    Please bring them back (and while bringing NemCon back, Please take it as a Chance to RETURN the the NemCon Costume pieces that ALERTs update removed because they were Bound with Gear
    • Shadow Tainted Thaumaturgic Gloves
    • Gladiator's Battle Belt
    • Gladiator's Combat Bracers
    • Hyperdimensional Shifthopper Armbands

    Suggestion: Include those pieces as Possible Costume Rewards from Defeating Shadow Destroyer in NemCon.

    Bug: Nemesis Grab, Bank Robbery Does not have enough Nemesis Minions
    People reported that there are a not enough Nemesis Minions required to finish the alert, making it uncompletable
    POWERFRAME REVAMPS, NEW POWERS and BUG FIXES > Recycled Content and Events and even costumes at this point Introvert guy who use CO to make his characters playable and get experimental with Viable FF Theme builds! Running out of Unique FF builds due to the lack of updates and synergies! Playing since 1 February 2011 128 + Characters (21 ATs, 107 FFs) ALTitis for Life!

    Dittoing this because that Queue bug removing Nemcon and other Queues is really bad. VERY REALLY BAD.


    Also,

    I thought with Private Queues you could Queue for any of the Rampages. Not just the one for the week. Would have been nice to play Sky Command or Lemurian Invasion.

    Why can't I see everyone on my friend's list?

    Why can't I see player @handle in the invite window?

    Why can I still see players who are already in a queue in the invite window?

    Why can't I right click a player and invite them to Private Queue?

    Why do I have to remake a private queue team every time we want to go back in?

    Why is the Whitelist options messing with this NON-PvP system?

    Yeah I can understand that smoke grenade was causing some weird AI problems w/ bosses in the past, but really the power just needs a re-vamp imo.

    If they are going to make this change, I'd suggest allowing the Escape Artist adv to permanently lower aggro (not necc a complete threat wipe), at least for the Soldier AT in PvE. Atm, its more like a temp placate that only works one time on bosses, as far as I can tell.

    agreed. When I said work it in as a permanent threat control move, I mean it should work everywhere- including vs. cosmics etc.

    If that means making it a complete threat wipe, like palliate/absolve, but having to lengthen the cd a bit, so be it imo. But a shorter cd w/ a threat drop would work too, or one that gives you a -threat buff like Imbue's adv. Plenty of choices here.

    I forgot to say about Smoke Grenade Nerf

    As a Soldier I can see how Stupid the Boss' A.I goes when spamming Smoke Grenade, Running back and forth, trying to avoid melee players, trying to target e.t.c

    BUT you should NOT make this power useless for PvE
    How the DPS are suppose to get rid of the unwanted Agro? Making this power useless will CLIP once again!

    Boost this power to cause small Threat Removal every X amount of time to a Boss and FIX the way it Mess up their Stupid A.I


    What I find really amusing is that Smoke Grenade makes the Boss Blind against players, but he can totally attack PETS!
    Pets holding Agro, this is amusing to see

    Why do people assume smoke grenade is going to be useless in pve when its losing its preception stealth against legendaries and cosmics, meaning that the rest of the power will work just fine?

    Here's another vote for giving Smoke Grenade *some* effect on legendaries and cosmics. At least make it grant Disorient or some other standard debuff.

    Yes, fix this, and also the NemCon costume unlock suggestion seems reasonable and I support it, the gloves as drops from Shadow D. and the other pieces as Gladiator/Alien Guard drops.

    So can we also get a change to drops for healers. It is nice that the person who tanks Frosticus now gets a score, and thus a drop, but if someone is busy healing and rezzing for the whole alert they get nothing.

    I've taken to having my healer hit Blaze with some attack right at the beginning and then gone on to the healing job.

    Agreed.

    Powers being made situationally useless is not fun. I'd say perhaps allow Smoke Grenade to debuff their resistances.

    Smoke Grenade: Smoked! Debuff only works against Legendary to Cosmic foes. Debuffs resistances by X% and cannot stack. Or apply Disorient.

    If it is decided that this is something which can be done, it would be nice to look into something for Skarn's Bane as well, since it cannot strip cosmic and legendary foes passive, perhaps provide some sort of damage debuff or dampening of the passives functionality for a time.

    Skarn's Bane: Hexed! Debuff which lowers their damage granted from passives/dampens passive functionality. (Unless the value is pathetically small, do not allow it to stack.)

    Make Smoke Grenade reduce my threat towards affected targets while they are affected by it. They can't see me, so how do they know who to get mad at? :3

    Or to make it a bit simpler, have SB put a maintained debuff on the target that lowers their damage output, damage resistence, and self healing each by a moderate amount. If SB actually removes a buff from the target, then it shields the target from the SB debuff for a few seconds. The debuff would be maintained similar to how Snow Storm works; if you maintain the power long enough, then the debuff will remain in effect for a short duration after you finish the maintain.

    You guys should just remake Smoke Grenade since it interferes with EVERYTHING new that comes out.

    The only reason your new content bosses go crazy is because they lose target of things while they are still aggroed.

    Change stealth so the enemies still target you but can't attack you while under the effects. If you ever dueled against a player while they were on your team, you couldn't attack them but you could still keep target on them and use powers that didn't require a target. You might actually find this a more fun way to have stealth work in game that doesn't break PvE.

    Regardless, Smoke Grenade and Evasive Maneuvers needs to have something done with them.

    I tried using Become Celestial Device on Alara The Light Guardian (my healer) and managed to come second and still support the team, where need be.

    However, in spite of that, I should not have to rely on a Become Device to score. I like the idea of support toons being rewarded for their supporting ability in the alert.

    I don't care about the score, but it is not nice to lose out on the drops.

    Since score does in fact (in my 5 run experience) have a bearing on drop at this point in time, it may be best to care about the score. However, if this does change in the future (i.e. they get rid of scoring) I'd welcome that change.

    Reason being that, I view this alert as more of a co-ordinated team effort, where all members have an input and should be rewarded as opposed to seeing who can hit the hardest or the most.

    Raven, Score is a 0 1 system(despite the bugs) at the momment. You don't get better stuff for being at the top. You just need to get on the scoreboard to be in the running. Trust me, I've done WAY more than 5 runs and the people I've run with were all over the place on those boards. The only thing they had in common was being on the board in the 1st place. I, personally, like the suggestion that CO "borrow" the NW Scoreboards since they would solve all of these issues and provide much more precise information.

    As for Smoke Nade....why can't it just work for the user instead of everyone in content like this? I use evasive and it only works for me. :biggrin:

    Hmm, it may be back on line, but now someone has messed up something else. I just logged in in order to copy a character over but it gives the following message:

    You have no characters in Champions Online! To create a character, go to the http://co.perfectworld.com/download

    Well, I have 2.5 pages worth of characters and they are all there on live. Can someone please look in to fixing this.

    With the transfer to the "Amazing<sg>" Arc page the Character Transfer, as well as some other features, were "lost in transit." I was told they would be returned ASAP.

    Look on the bright side, at least they didn't completley bone your account and cancel it on accident. :frown:

    This seems to be a new "feature." Before PTS went down I was able to go to the character transfer page and copy a character over using the page redirect disable discussed in the other thread. Now even that doesn't work.

    I personally only got things like Ice Sheathe, Axe, Tokens etc when I came first or second. Only getting Q when I came second to last (I think I somehow managed to score 2).

    It would be better suited as an AoE Placate, if perception debuffs are causing issues. If this were to happen, it's obvious I'd be looking at Ego Placate to get sorted out and possibly crowd control. (loljks, I wouldn't ask for Crowd Control, that's a messy area.)


    Question to the Devs: A bit of a weird question, but are you guys aware that Nemesis Confrontation Map and associated queue are no longer accessible in game?

    That should be fixed in the build that's currently on PTS.

    It would be neat if the devs could give a heads up about the drops for healers. Just a "we're looking into it", or "not planned for the foreseeable future" would do.

    Since when are Legendary and Cosmic enemies the only enemies you face in PvE? :)

    Right, but what is being asked for is to give an alternative debuff on the cosmics instead of it's normal operation so that the power still is usable against cosmics instead of just nulling it.
    100% of the world is crazy, 95% are in denial.
