Thanks for the link. As suspected (except for maybe the 4th veh wep slot) it's pretty much one size fits all. Too bad Hull Scanner's debuff doesn't work.
One that has plenty of mod slots to put in +Speed mods, and then make sure it has Gravity Pulse and Incendiary Round.
Gravity Pulse does brokenly absurd high levels of damage to mobs all around you, while Incendiary Round does brokenly absurd high levels of taunt at 120ft when most overworld 'bosses' (like Mega-D and the like) have no idea what to do when the aggro leader is attacking past 100ft.
A mech suit would be nice, but i think something along the lines of ExoSquad would work well here, especially if you could see your character inside. Titanfall is coming out soon, so it might be a nice little attention grabber that way as well.

You don't need vehicles for that. You can do that already in the costume editor.
Personally I just pick whichever one I think looks the coolest at the moment, currently the "Fireant" is winning that contest, although sometimes I just feel like hopping into my prototype jet.
Because, let's face it, with a few niche exceptions, your own character is going to be at least as powerful as the vehicles are, with the possible exception if you are willing to spend a lot of resources to get into modding ... Resources which I'd recommend you spend on your character's gear first. (Disclaimer ... I don't do ATs, so maybe vehicles compare better if you are Silver as opposed to Gold.) I assume that the new Sky Command Rampage is going to have the super disk...
However, to answer your actual question, if you can afford it, always pick out of the Drifter Store, they have a stat bonus as well as a better selection of weapons overall.
Until Hover Disk + Your Build = Sky Carrier Win. I know you know how to build a toon, monster, so just roll with it.
Vehicles, IMO, come in very few flavors once you get past the "looks cool" bit...
-Travel Power
-Gravity Pulse(Seizure Build)
-IR2(AI Gamebreaker)
-Crapola(Everything Else)*
Basically they're like flying mopeds. Fun to take out for a spin but you wouldn't want your friends to catch you on one.
*RP could fall into this catagory as well because once, I kid you not, I saw two people trying to RP hooking their vehicles together so one could give the other one a tow.
Thanks! But one area vehicles certainly do better at is AoE meaning IR2. Should make defending carrier engines easier. I guess the rest is making sure u add dmg n having enough energy.
There are a couple of other things that vehicles can do well, IMHO, besides the obvious AOE damage and travel speed. The Healing Drone can be a nice fire-and-forget heal, very useful in Sky Command for dropping on engines/vent. The Paint the Target resistance debuff (-100% for the Prototype Command Jet) can be very effective against the tougher bosses like Mega Destroids. Vehicles can have roles, just like the heroes do, although AOE damage, taunt, and travel speed are probably the standouts.

One you can customize by coloring it and making it look like the theme of the hero that uses it.
Anything else?

Beyond that, vehicles are just kinda useless.
