Of course that helps. But PWE doing some basic banner adds is some places like You Tube or Face Book wouldnt hurt.
I first heard of CO because it was in a sidebar ad on Facebook, and I remembered the fun I had playing Champions in college. Of course, CO is nothing like the old PnP, but that's probably for the best, given some of the things I did with the 3rd-edition rules (what do you mean, "Arachnoid Powers" isn't a valid Elemental Control?).

More advertising (hells, some advertising) would probably do wonders for the game's population, especially given the generosity of the F2P setup here.

because elemental controls are ones which can all be dispelled/drained as one type of power.

Or Cryptic / PWE could get with the times and utilize YouTube. You know, actually make videos for the CO channel. Considering it hasn't been updated in forever, it still has more subs than many of PW's other games. Or actually advertise there. I'd take a CO ad over Escondido German Auto Whatever 3 f-ing minute commercial that I always skip.

Or #2: Figure out how to get some moderate / big gamer to play the game and upload videos to his / her channel. I pretty much find out about new games from the game channels I sub to and not advertisements.

I am a player that doesn't mind spending money on ingame items, but the lockbox system in this game is turning me off to buying items in CO! I would love to have the new King Sekhen vehicle and I tried to get it at the tune of 30 bucks and it never dropped! That isn't the first time I've spent more money than it is worth to get an ingame item through the lockbox system. I mainly get booster boxes which I already have plenty of! In essense, I spent twice the money to hopefully to get a game item only to not get it! I know, stupid me!!! Why should players have to gamble like this for a game item?!?! It leaves me with buyer's remorse... so, I'm done with the lockboxes and being a sucker!

Imagine my excitement when I started up Champions Online today to see that it required a large update. Here I was, expecting bug fixes or maybe some power balancing, but no. It's just another lockbox and yet another aura...

    I was thoroughly disappointed.

This game is FULL of bugs, but yet we keep getting lockboxes and more zen store items instead.

If it weren't for the fact that spam with similar wording is appearing over on the STO boards, I'd almost have thought nothing of these posts. Now I'm curious.
