So, seeing how well Arc ran on my wife's brand-new Dell XPS 12, I decided to download it to this old Toshiba Satellite and give it a spin.
My FPS dropped into the single digits, when I was almost alone in the zone (5 people in the entire Desert, and I didn't see a one of them). Launched again from the old launcher, and my FPS was as smooth as ever (that is to say, not very, but better than with Arc in the background).
I should run the experiment again with Steam.

We've done some testing on our end, and we didn't have issues like you described. Jon, could you send me any relevant information? I'm not sure exactly what would be useful, but any information could help us figure out what's going on.
EDIT: A thought occurred to me -- did the Satellite meet the min specs for Arc? What OS, RAM, etc?

Running Win 7 64-bit; pretty sure my processor (an Intel i3, 2.13 GHz) and GPU (Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD) aren't up to snuff for Arc, though. (Hoping to get a new system in about a month, but no promises.) Oh, and 4 gigs of RAM.
On the plus side, I did try launching through Steam, and that goes off without a hitch.

All of the new pages look so similar and boring. It's really sad because right now CO, STO and NW have different flavor and style even if the homepages use a similar navigation.
Also, there's WAAAAYYY too much whitespace (Blacked out) given how simple the design currently is. STart filling that up with the comic-book-drawing borders or something.
I agree with the earlier feedback that giving the narrative on character customization was a way better idea than a list of downloads.
I also agree that the news needs to be far more prominent.
I also agree that the guides needs to have guides. You'll really chase people away by advertising there.
The website should tell a story about the experience of playing Champions. CO has the best character builder online, you really need to hype this more and give visuals.
The only thing the new website does for me is serve as a painful reminder I'll have to connect my CO with Steam so I'll be safe from PWE's piece of crapware next time I upgrade my computer.
Well, first off, I'd say some work needs to be put into the current site, at least with regards to the Wiki.
Now, I know the CO Wiki was actually run, and funded, by players and not Cryptic, but there is still a link in the Main Site that is titled 'Wiki' that would have lead there if it weren't down, due to the owner dropping its' funding. Now, if Cryptic would pick up the rights to the Site, you would actually have an official site Wiki, as well as a place to post more notifications and whatnot. Plus (and I don't like to say it...) but you could always add advertisements! Make some money off of it! Now, THAT'S incentive!
It makes sense, if you don't think about it.

they ruin champions online with that stupid arc watch how their player base will drop
stupid ******** arc. i know they will probably banned me for saying this things but every player knows the arc suck
My main complaints is that the videos don't load in arc, and if I want to check the forum in-game I have to log in again so it's easier just to alt tab to a browser.
ARC seems to be more for PWE ATM than for the player. Features that I'd be interested in-- like chat and showing off my perks, characters, supergroups don't seem to work. My friend list from CO doesn't transfer to ARC, my profile actually says I'm not subscribed to CO, the guide page doesn't have guides (or a wiki)... there's no reason to use this other than to buy zen (which can be done from the web page) or get marketed to for other PWE games. It's like a stick without a carrot.
I can't access the old page anymore, but the new page does not seem to have clear navigationm so I have a few questions about the new website:
Where do I go to buy Gold subscriptions and/or LTS?
Where do I go to copy my characters to the PTS?
How do I unsubscribe if I choose to resub?
Thanks for answering.
Subscription stuff can be accessed here Until it's figured out where to navigate from the arc page that is
PTS is borked and until they correct it it's both down till Monday (according to lordgar) and there is no way to copy characters to it until the issue is fixed.

Well... I'm kind of lost in the new site. Don't know if I'm not searching right, but where's especially the C-Store page?
The new site is more dynamic, but I think right now I still prefer the old site.
The C store will no longer be accessible from the website. According to TrailTurtle, it's not used enough by players to continue maintaining, so its in game access only...

Also add Community Hub to the list of the missing. Through there the all important copy character to PTS feature is now gone.

Too bad the address given doesn't accept emails.
I have ZERO interest in getting ANY advertisements from PWE or any of their allied companies.
ALL unsolicited messages(from sites I have not subscribed to for mail), I mark as phishing scams, block the sender and delete

I concur. The new site is very samey, very meh. Nothing to commend itself.
Whoever you are, be that person one hundred percent. Don't compromise on your identity.
