Error in patching

It's been a few days since last i played Champions, but today, after getting most of the patching done, I ran into this issue...

Mirroring 1: Microsoft.VC80.CRT/Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest
Error 36: A file was locked that could not be opened for writing.

NOTE: This was done before today's scheduled downtime.

    When I did the patch, I was using the CO launcher... Not Arc.

    I went through Arc and the game miraculously patched.

    Can I assume that the game is not going to patch anymore unless I go through Arc?
