I may be doing something wrong but I've been running some test builds through Resistance on elite and I'm having a lot of problems getting the consoles next to the Mega D's charging station to target at all, even by trying to click on it while standing right in front of it. (Which means the Mega D has already activated.)
Am I missing something because I don't remember having this issue the last time I was running through Resistance awhile back.
Sorry if I wasn't clear but I meant the ones that you destroy in order to keep the Mega D Overseer from waking up when you steal weapons and bomb the super jet.
I think the 'Wakey Wakey' range of Overseer in Elite setting is 100' or over.
So, you may snipe the console with Sniper Rifle. Maybe.
Oh, hey!
The Mayhem Mega D gimmick has been updated. When you overcharge them they explode. Their behavior also changes based on difficulty.
Normal Difficulty: 50 seconds to overcharge, do not summon reinforcements
Difficult Difficulty: 50 seconds to overcharge, summon reinforcements after 30 seconds if they power up
Hard Difficulty: 15 seconds to overcharge, summon reinforcements
Very Hard Difficulty: 15 seconds to overcharge, summon reinforcements
Elite Difficulty: activate instantly, do not summon reinforcements

Maximum clicking targeting range has been reduced a while ago thanks to vehicles. So you have to hit them with a vehicle or get super lucky quick. Try zooming into first person to get closer.
Hmm... I may have to recheck that difficulty vs. activation time and reinforcements, cuz I swear I was at Normal difficulty when I was testing out my Ego-blader back when the Crit/Dodge changes were being tested on the PTS and the Overseer was summoning it's backup on me.
Also I can attest that at least on the PTS they do summon a second Mega D on Elite, although the clone phases out of existence within moments of the "real" one dying...
Also I did manage to short the charging station out on the mission where we are supposed to steal from the weapons depot, although it took me many attempts of trying and teleporting away (And waiting for the station to respawn half of the time.). It probably would have been easier to just straight up fight the Mega D.
To destroy the console without fighting the megadees on elite:
Turn on your eb, mouse over the console, run inside towards it while tapping on the console and quickly run outside. If you have targeted it when you ran in but the targetting dropped when you ran outside, don't worry, as long as you did not run outside of 100ft from it, it's still targetted and you can hit it with a 100ft power, but wait for the megadee to return to it's station first.
Alternatively, if you have an aoe that does not require targetting, just run in and hit the console quickly. If your dps is high enough, the megadee dies before it activates.
The 2nd megadee summoned on elite is only normal difficulty btw and is easier to kill.

So, maybe something has changed recently.
EDIT: Just read #6 above. That would explain it, I suppose.
