The Strangest/Stupidest concepts you've ever come up with

We've all had these, the kind that might have seemed like a good idea at the time but a few days/hours/seconds later you realize it was actually ridiculous.

I have two to share, the first is a villain called Dr. Dodo, the last surviving dodo somehow still alive, he's back to cause chaos on humanity for wiping out his species. Unfortunately I abandoned his costume mid way through, but picture a dodo in a lab-coat with a top hat and your basically there.

The second is: Traffic-Warden!
As well as attempted invations and conquests every other week, Millennium City is blighted with terrible congestion and there's only one man for the job.

    I usually don't abandon them, though.

    There's the Ferrous Gentleman, for instance, inspired by something someone said about "a steampunk Iron Man". And Spider-Bat, aka eccentric billionaire Peter Wayne (he was hunting rare spiders in the Amazon when he was bitten by a rabid radioactive bat, and became a little confused); he's lvl 38 these days, and I'm holding off taking him to 40 because I might have my LTS by the end of the month. And there's my most recent toon, DarkDemonKillerBlackBlood, inspired by FlyingFinn's mockery of certain player-types. Turns out the Scourge is easy-mode. :smile:

    Well, for what it's worth, my "strangest" would probably be the current nemesis of my character Brick.

    For reasons even I cannot adequately understand nor explain, his nemesis is The Thinking Ape, a giant psionic gorilla in a purple business-suit and bowler-hat. Mastermind persona and Telekinetic powerset, with Robotic minions using Military Weapons powerset.

    OMG the Traffic Warden is awesome!!!! :biggrin:
    Ok I would not play it, but it is brilliant.

    My character, Pyroclast Justicar is a ninja. With pyrokinetic powers (Fire+Ego Blades). And a partly cybernetic body. uuuuh yes... brilliant

    I made a Pile of Poo. It was for a Patriot Act Costume Contest. It won 10 Cosmic Keys.

    I kid you not, I had a very similar character that I used to test the game's character name filter. His name was...

    The s***lord of f***sville.

    Obviously filtered here, but yes. So long as you entered in a name or single 'word' (sequence of letters without a space in them) that doesn't end with a blacklisted word, you could name your character that.

    It's probably been fixed by now. That was like a little over a year back.

    I had Deathblood. Extreme 90s comic artist Bob Leefield fell into a batch of irradiated ink, and came out a grotesque monstrosity of giant shoulder pads, tiny feet, a GARGANTUAN torso, and the ability to lift even the heaviest gun without any issues. He decided to use his powers to fight crime using his EXTREME hover-chopper and the biggest guns known to humanity.

    Sadly, I have no screenshots, as he fell victim to the great purge of 2013.
    In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008.

    Well most of my characters have punny names or play on word. Like Ratasassn and his nemesis Mercanary or Black Archnid and his Bee nemesis The Podfather.

    But I think the stupidest costume I've ever made was Rattteh's giant firby head one. I don't have a screenshot on me but I used the round shoulder pieces for googly eyes and the teeth belt thing for a mouth

    I think I saw someone make a headless zombie pirate thing with that once, using the opaque sci-fi helm and large pauldron shoulders to make a giant pirate hat.

    Just uploaded this image today for my coming "LOOK AT MAH TOONS" thread - i haven't finished taking screenshots of all my current characters so it'll be a while before posting that, but in the meantime i introduce you

    Ignacio Aguirre Serrano aka El Super Chile (or Super Aji, for South America) is a mutant chili pepper with pyrokinetic powers, result of accident with an experimental mutagen developed by VIPER.

    I was trying to make an original concept for an Inferno that wasn't a demon or human torch clone, and the idea came when i was eating a ham sandwich with lots of jalape?os :biggrin:
    Also, this played on my head when making him

    Well, that's what this thread is for, right?, the mutagen thing reminded me of TMNT's origin and the VIPER's missions in Canada also helped

    A tall, extremely thin, wide eyed-pupil only, pink afro'd Sparkly pink jacket, Straps (Skin) sparkly purple boots man with a long narrow face who's power is whenever he speaks it's in the lyrics to a song, in the voice of the vocalist, and when he sings you get stuck in a music video.


    This roughly got translated to an Ego Nemesis.

    His name was "It's time to Dance"

    I think that Traffic-Warden! could use the Rudolf Red Nose and an all black helmet for an improved red glowing spot.

    A much more clever idea than my Heroic Accident - The Wizz.
