At first this headline made me go like this thinking that the Foundry from STO might be coming to Champions:
O_O
Then I realized they were just announcing the annual event and I was like:
Aww...
I'm actually looking more forward to the upcoming Auras (where my two Dark Aura devices get converted and I can finally get rid of AoPM's effect) than any key "backpack" costume unlock which doesn't work for any of my characters. Kind of cool for concepts and good to see new costume unlocks... I guess... For me it's kind of "meh" though, gotta be honest. *shrug*
(also waiting, waiting, waiting on Justice Gear to debut. Alas...)
Sidenote:
Cryptic, if you're going to do a Foundry in Champions Online, make it be for our Nemesis system. Because nothing annoys me more than my hero's archnemesis building a technological death ray (and failing with it) in spite of being actually a evil mage who rules a entire empire and has armies at her command where are a greater threat than we can imagine. It's a comical joke, and not as epic as it should be if I was actually able to make the content myself with a Foundry. That's not arrogance speaking, crowd sourcing is truly amazing stuff, producing far more content than a small developer studio could ever hope to do with the limited time they have to get things done. I've seen it done, more than once.
Consolidate the currencies! (Please!)
Does your Champion have a theme song? (share it!)
Got a funny in-game screenshot? (share it!)
Please fix the Overdrive energy unlock! (Should help promote thematic build diversity!)
Or her. xD

Very slick! I cannot wait to get into the foundry and kick Finkle's butt.
Most likely removed whole crap since Finkle Foundry is now a lvl 30 (probably) Alert.

Technically you can't, even with Harquebus.
CO harquebus model is wheellock, and her gun is flintlock. Almost one hundred years of difference.
Your second pic is a caplock. Another one hundred years of difference.
CO still needs at least one model of a flintlock rifle. Wheellock is a crap.
No, really. Why we ever had a wheellock, not a flintlock? This unlock was linked to the pirates who were, supposedly, using flintlocks as wheellock was considered obsolete even in their time.
You gonna tell her that there is no Santa Claus next ?
: )
'Caine, miss you bud. Fly high.

if so nice to see them bringing some back (now hurry up and bring them all back)
That when a toon walks in with an itty-bitty waist and a big gun in your face
You get sprung
Gotta pull up tough
'Cause you notice that gun was stuffed
Deep in the armor she's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring...

They are indeed still there.
Not sure how the Finns get to claim theirs as the original.
a lot of modern Santa clause images are based on the germanic character "sinterklaas" he is based on the turkish saint, but the pop-santa is not exactly throwing 3 bags of gold through windows so poor girls can have dowries. though chocolate geld is awesome.
Phew, good. I missed out on getting the fancy new Electro Steampunk gear last year on account of being terribly ill for like a whole month. So I'm glad that stuff is still gonna be available.
As a curiosity - authors of Warhammer tabletop and roleplaying games based their god Ulric on this old pagan belief.
Many pagan religions in northern regions had male personification of Winter. He was, by christanisation and cultural diffusion, merged into one with Saint Nicholas, just like old pagan winter feasts were merged with Christmas.
Of course pagan original deities weren't nice, children-loving granpas carrying bags full of gifts.
Then magical girl like her?
Not sure about the change tho. xD
