They could be either a new powerset or just extra animations for Energy Projector powers.

Please? :)

I'm hoping they'll do that when they make a Star*Guardian set, who carry staffs that shoot projectiles.

Animations already exist for wands and staffs to shoot powers.

Infernal wands and dragon staffs do this already, for PCs.

Animations exist but these are separate powers completely. They worked on it before but because of how the current power system works there would be a lot of rewriting to get it to work in Champions with any power.

yep, the animations have existed for a while actually. There is a thread out there with a bunch of them along with some zones and such that were never used.

It seems that this is just one of those things that is too much work to do for CO. This game is not worth the effort.

Here is the quandry; it takes money to develop things, people won't put any money towards develop by buying any of the C-Store items, ever noticed how the C-Store items keep becoming less and less? This usually means they don't sell very well, and considering the player bases adamant ability to damn anything that has a price tag on it, there is a bit of a reason CO is technically floating face first.

You mean like the Emote pack, or the recent costume packs that people were actually speaking highly of? Those seemed to get a good amount of people behind them.

The things people spoke out against were Catalysts that were over priced, and Vehicles, which are over priced for what you get.

The Quandary is that Cryptic has not listened to its customers about what we want to buy, until recently when they gave us some costume packs.

Taking forums as representative of the entire player base seems to be a tad bit misleading especially since forums represent at the best of times, 1% of the actual player base.

I think evidence more than speaks for itself, honestly, that if such things were as lucrative as people like to think, there would be a much bigger flow of items.

After all, how many showcased in the works costume sets were there and how many have we actually gotten? I know there's still quite a few that we have yet to see.

Evidence also shows that price reductions on many products would yield higher sales numbers and substantially so. Many items could have prices reduce as much as half and see well over double increase in sales...

Yet at the same time, such reductions carry heavy risks with them too and odds are neither Cryptic nor PWE are willing to take such risks... While the item may very well have a high demand on it that could potentially triple in sales at half cost, it could also remain at it's current sales rate too effectively halving their income from said item's price reduction rather than increasing it...

However, such risks can be mitigated by offering temporary sales to "test the waters" if you will... but the results from such sales aren't guaranteed to be conclusive either... a sale with low sells rates could reflect poor timing just as easily as it can reflect undesired items on sale... and one with high sells rates could reflect basic consumerism... It's a well known fact that consumers will jump at products marked as "On Sale"...

I used to work at a couple department stores that would mark an item down as little as 5? and slap a Sale sign up on it with an inflated "original cost" to give the illusion of a great deal. And you know what? It worked every time. They would sell on average 3 or 4 times as many of those products during "sales" than they do at "normal price" despite the fact that most of them were hardly even marked down at all.

I think we've derailed enough though so... back on topic...

It'd be nice to see some staffs and wands added...
