Pidgin and the Chat Server

Hi there,

Normally, I never get any issues with the chat server (unless it is offline) nor Pidgin.

I am currently having large chunks of chat going missing/not appearing.

Pidgin is periodically disconnecting itself and taking a long while to reconnect.

I am showing up on my friends screen as constantly going on and offline when I am logged on.

[System] Joined channel "Guild".

[System] Joined channel "Officer".

[System] Joined channel "Zone".

^ This is the message I am getting every 1 or 2 minutes during gameplay, making communication with other players problematic and irritating to put it politely.

As a result I have had to simply bow out of communication with others for the time being.

I do not usually have this issue, this is my first time online since the last patch and my chat is having horrible issues.

My connection and combat are perfect and I have no issues with navigation within the game or lag spikes.

Is someone able to explain what is going on or suggest what I should do? I've tried logging out and exiting the game but nothing seems to be working.
