Forum Malvanum timer

Comon Cryptic. If you're going to put in a timed event and a cut scene. Stop the timer during the cutscene. It makes it difficult to complete the Forum Malvanum Alert when the timer is already run half way out by the time the cutscene is over. Could we please get a fix for this?

    Spoiler Alert: This is the most Obnoxious, Annoying and Custom Story Alert! It has been like that since the Introduction!

    The Cutscenes are annoying and UNSKIPABLE
    The Malvan have horrible taste of Colors for their Clothing
    The Timer is NOT working as intented (1:30... really? it eats time EVEN during Cutscenes)
    Two Bosses with Defiance! Defiance (of good taste)

    The alert was obviously tested in PTS with people who have ALMIGHTY FF DPS Builds royaly screwing non OP FF builds, Archetypes, Tanks and Healers on LIVE server!! :confused: Since this was obviously tested ONLY with DPS Builds

    For your Sanity, I suggest you to avoid it!
    This is by far the WORST Custom alert!

    If you want the Costume parts, I suggest Buying them instead of wasting your time
    POWERFRAME REVAMPS, NEW POWERS and BUG FIXES > Recycled Content and Events and even costumes at this point Introvert guy who use CO to make his characters playable and get experimental with Viable FF Theme builds! Running out of Unique FF builds due to the lack of updates and synergiesPlaying since 1 February 2011 98+ Characters (7 ATs, 91 FFs) ALTitis for Life!

    I've noticed how terrible it is. Believe me. But sadly, I don't have the funds to buy the costume pieces, which I really want. I wish Cryptic would get in gear and start fixing things like this. Because me personally, I actually enjoy this alert, but when I can never finish it, it makes me not want to even run it.

    Don't expect them to touch up or follow up on the Forum story.

    Yeah I would have to say Forum is one of the worst.

    though I still am not much of a fan of Harmon Labs after getting locked out of the boss fight by people who like to rush without warning...

    Hey but at least I've actually completed that one a bunch of times, where in Forum Malvanum I have yet to even see Firewing.

    I don't think it was compleated there that many times either.
    But least of favorites. Not liking it. Common thugs on a Gladiator arena In space at the moon!!..
    But hey, atleast the coming 'Fire and Ice' isn't that bad......

    Actually we complained about it when it was on PTS as well. Very little if anything was changed.

    Personally the fact that both bosses have Defiance is just absolutely insane. Especially with that timer.

    Only the best of the best DPSers need to even think about applying for this. Everyone else just go home.

    The first part is right - the timer is NOT working as intended.

    The Duratok/Ironclad fight is supposed to have a 1m30s timer. Since the timer and cutscene both trigger off the previous fight ending, they padded the timer to account for the cutscene. They even added a couple seconds to account for latency. This means that the fight starts with 1m36-38s on the clock! Fix it, devs!

    Seriously though, any team I've been in, including ones entirely comprised of level 6-25 characters (before the level gating) has been able to win the Alert. There are no timers required to win, and the only mandatory boss fight is tough for some team compositions, but always completable.
    Yes, one of the bonus rounds is quite tough, but I've seen it completed on teams that aren't all level 40 max gear DPS. I've finished all 10 rounds on teams of mostly ATs, teams with multiple people level 30 or lower, and even teams with 3 or more people in the Tank and Support roles.
    Yes, getting a 10 round win is hard. It's supposed to be. That's why mission completion is awarded after 5 rounds, and it's impossible to fail before then. (No, I don't consider people quitting before then failure. It only fails if a fail condition is met, and there are none. )
