hello! i have a problem i don't KNOW!! WHAT SPIDER NAME FOR MY HERO OR VILLAIN D:

So can you make a spider name list for my character some color name too

    if were just talking spider clones thats easy just pick a word that begins with S and stick it in front of spider

    Silver Spider
    Slate spider
    Steel spider
    Shocking pink spider
    super spider
    singing spider
    etc
    etc

    Is suppose there's also the likes of Spider-Kid, Spider-Guy, Spider-Lady,

    You could also just pick a random descriptive word and whack it in front of spider

    Shadow spider
    Dark Spider
    Angry Spider (ya know for those hulk/spiderman clones)


    Spider related names are easy making the character something other than a spider man clone is the hard bit that's where knowing the idea behind the toon or there back story helps, even a idea of what power set they'll have or if you intend to definitely use one specific power.

    Steel Spider is actually taken - I don't think he was ever seen, but he was mentioned a few times in Marvel's M2 line (one I remember specifically involved Eric Masterson's kid, destined to become the new Thunderstrike, arriving in Manhattan and wondering if he was going to see any of the local heroes, like the Fantastic Five or the Steel Spider).

    Black Widow is, of course, the code name of a certain Russian assassin turned Avenger.

    And I have the Arachnid, so yeah.

    I don't think Wolf Spider is taken yet, and that's really an appropriate species for a super as well - wolf spiders don't spin webs, but stalk their prey. Other than that, well, there are a lot of spiders in the world - Tarantula is taken, as that's a Marvel villain, but there should be a fair number of them available.

    If the OP's character is male, Black Widower would be an interesting name.

    well.... when i tok a pause on primus making page i planing on my head a character name well red arachnid, arachnid and spiderling and i say "hmmm thats a goodidea!" later i See already taking by other but if i going to have that name then every world should do this

    spiderling (playername) or
    spiderling (realname)

    super easy and now.... HAVE NO IDEA :frown:

    but i got a name for my female spider brown widow but
    last time i try to make a name tarantula it works!

    well i try tarantula and it works! but wolf spider i think it will champions online accept spider names

    but really... tarantula villain of spiderman why would tarantula fight with spiderman because spider is a spider and tarantula is a spider i know some spiders or tarantulas fight.

    How about "Harvestman" (Or "Harvest Man")? I know they're apparently harmless and good for the environment, but those things freak me out. >.<

    Well, i think to make a good name is interesting know some more information about your character, like, what kind of powers he will have or what colors you intend to use, these informations can help in the creation of a name :D

    oh oky.... some other spider names i made a large list on it caught some other spider name like shadow light dark night or more and like kid lady boy man girl and color

    I can only imagine what kind of things it is harvesting. Creepy and menacing, it's a perfect name for a spider-themed villain. :biggrin:

    I think I'll use "Arachnophobia" as the name of the Arachnid's Nemesis. Thanks! :smile:

    Cobweb was one I thought about using, but its very tough to make a spider character without being a major Spider-Man rip-off, that is, more of a rip-off than is generally acceptable. Yeh, I dunno.

    First thing I would suggest is to look at the Latin names for various spiders. See if any fit.
    If not, alternatively, you can break down the bare basics of what makes spider based theme characters fun and build on that:

    They build webs of immense tensile strength, being equivalent if scaled up to coiled steel wires. Okay, so you've got a builder-architect thing going on. Armour's also a possibility, cloth, flexible armour.

    They have multiple legs, and can detect things across their many webs through multiple touch sensitive parts giving a multilayered view of their base. Right, so right there we've got a plotter theme going on. Lots of Batman and Xanatos gambits, as well as being a less lame (aka not a Bowser wannabe) version of Mass Effect's Shadow Broker.

    Poisonous. Is capable of long haul plots that cause them to win in the long run.

    Generally dark carapace: nocturnal critter?

    Right, so what can we make from that?
    Super strong woven armour on some kind of genius. Stealthy. Not a typical smash and bash hero, but the bard of the group, talking enemies down to assist in plans.

    A lot of spider themed characters are psychic as a link to that talky behaviour.

    How about.. The Psider? Nah, kinda difficult to connect PSI powers to spider in the name.

    Mindweb? Can work in surveillance theme via telepathic 'Webs' by hacking citizen brains to store data for you in a way easy to access and transmit information through subconscious suggestion to share trivia and news with others...

    Network would be a more obscure name, but that's the thing, you might not want to advertise that you're spider themed considering your strengths and weaknesses are spider related ones.

    That's what comes to mind anyhow.
