I have 3 different FF Power Armor builds and all 3 were using Quarry as their offensive passive. I decided to revamp one of them and give Targeting Computer a try, knowing that a change was coming to Quarry, I thought, might as well.
All of my Power Armor builds utilize Plasma Beam for their hand slot attack. I trotted out the new build during the current Bloodmoon event and went to town on the zombie with the Plasma Beam.
Since I have never tried Targeting Computer this was new to me and I was wondering if anyone knew if this was something that was supposed to happen. When fighting the Bloodmoon villains, I tend to attack them with 2 slots (shoulder and chest) and use the Plasma Beam to sweep up the mobs as they closed on me.
What I discovered was that with Targeting Computer's Locked On ability I can no longer swivel to shoot the Plasma Beam off in another direction. It will only shoot at the current target no matter how much turning I may do. To sweep the beam you have to de-select your current target.
I didn't think this would be an issue since Plasma Beam is an "Untargeted Power", but I guess not when you are using Targeting Computer. Is this a bug or just the way things work with Targeting Computer?
That's...really strange, it makes sense as it is a Targeting Computer
But in all seriousness, I have noticed this on certain things, if I click them regardless of me trying to turn the camera angle I cannot swivel around with Plasma Beam.
It's so strange and doesn't always happen I cannot really say definitively what is causing it outside of Targeting Computer.
If I recall correctly, when I was running plasma on my invincible, I could swivel as long as I didn't specifically choose a target and didn't select one automatically.
Now if I did have a target, it would stay on said target specifically till defeated.
Say you have plasma beam in slot #5. set a keybind such as
/bind 5 "target_clear $$ powertrayexec 1 4"
(this clears your current target and sets the plasma beam as a full maintain)
or /bind 5 "target_clear $$ +powerslotexec 4"
(this clears your current target and now plasma beam is a tap. you can still hold down 5 for as long as you want to maintain it)
This doesn't FIX your problem, but can get the job done. There are some other issues such as fights w/ lots of adds and you wanted to keep the boss as your main target.
