To be fair both Spinytop and GFN are Conquer Members, this is pretty normal for them two :D

    Just ask Captain Egotist.

Rise.. RISE FROM THE ASHES, THREAD! I, the mighty OP do summon thee.. for I am...

    THE VOID!

    Archetype: The Void

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Endurance (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Ego (Secondary)

    Powers:
    Level 1: Shadow Bolt (Despondency)
Level 1: Shadow Blast (Rank 2, Crippling Challenge)
Level 6: Shadow Embrace (Rank 2, Fatal Allure, Nailed to the Ground)
Level 8: Shadow Form (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Grasping Shadows (Unyielding Agony)
    Level 14: Concentration
Level 17: Ebon Rift (Rank 2, Vengeful Shadows)
Level 21: Ebon Void (Rank 2, Voracious Darkness)
    Level 25: Spirit Reverberation
Level 30: Shadow Shroud (Terrifying Visage)
    Level 35: Lifedrain (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 40: Ebon Ruin (Rank 2, Nyctophobia, Paranormal Paranoia)

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Flight
    Level 35: Teleportation

    Specializations:
    Endurance: Readiness (3/3)
    Endurance: Gear Utilization (3/3)
    Endurance: Kickback (2/2)
    Endurance: Hardened (2/2)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Locus (2/2)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Avenger: Ruthless (2/2)
    Avenger: Can't Touch This (3/3)
    Avenger: Relentless Assault (3/3)
    Avenger: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Mastery: Endurance Mastery (1/1)

Void is a very unique one. Before the changes with On Alert, it could have been one of the most powerful ATs. Now, it's not as powerful but it can still kick some ****.

Some people would laugh at Despondency. I say these people are going to be crying when their dodges don't proc as much.

Terrifying Visage on Shadow Shroud because Feared is an amazing debuff as well as the ability that will set up a huge damage spiker.. especially if it crits.

That spiker? Ebon Ruin. Adding in the decreased resistance to Paranormal and the increased damage to Feared targets, you have a painful smack in the face.

I actually rank Lifedrain for 2 reasons. 1: It's a great heal when coupled with Shadow Form. 2: I like the animation.

Unrelated to THIS thread, but once I finish all the ATs (save for one. I've never been able to get a definite "I like this set up" on Night Avenger) it'll be time for a special treat.

    How did you reach to

    fun+play=care

    From

    play-care=fun

    ?

By adding fun to both sides, we get:

    play+fun=2fun+care

Your statement is only true when fun=0. So you only care about something when you're playing it and not having fun. Hmmmmm

It is quite simple, you make a substitution. You define fun* = - fun
That makes play - care = fun into play - care = - fun*
now we add fun* and care so we get: play + fun* = care
Now we just rename the thing for convenience: play+fun = care

    Hope that helps.

My stomach is clear and my mind is full of bacon!

Prepare for facerolling. I'm warning you, this one is not for drawn out fights as the only heal you get is from the Quick Recovery spec. You gotta end em quick.

That being said, this one is good for a nice strategy that involves Setup Spiking and Maintained Death.

For setting up, one would use one of the many holds this AT has on the target and then Electric Sheathe before you proceed to Gigabolt (fully charged) and Lightning Arc after. Boom. Most ATs are dead. Some FF are dead. The rest... pray they're down a good chunk and continue LArcing.

...that's really it for this AT

Another one that's one of those "Kill them quick or you're dead." Fortunately, the job is easier here since the DoTs mess with every form of defense save for Invuln (and LR at times.. DoT Resist woo!) which is easily taken out by the charge up powers.

Crippling coils with Barbed Chains because when they break out of it, they get a bleed. When they get a bleed, you get to take advantage of that and poison! WOOO!

Again, you're not meant for long fights. Rapid Recovery DOES help, though. So that's something to consider. Resurgence isn't as dependable since it's on a long cooldown.. sorry folks.

Another trolling one.. you really only have one surefire way to win and that's Death Ray. The rest is all chance and praying that you can deal damage while the enemy is under one of the many debuffs you can inflict. Or outlive them.

Not really one I'd prefer to play. >_> honestly, none of the support ones are.

This... dear god. This one's such a pain to deal with at times. Were it not for the stacking Hold Resistance, this would pretty much be THE AT to end all. Not to mention Ego Sleep is pretty much the "best" hold.

Were there another power to put CC on, I'd have ranked Ego Blast and added the Rude Awakening. But oh well!

Empathetic Healing over Psionic because I'd rather have insta heals over charged.

    Sentry Mastery because stun.

I do not like this AT.

I love it. And I've loved it since before On Alert. In fact, this was the AT I solo'd Mega D with on PTS a few months after I became gold.

Bullet Beatdown (..ugh.. -.- still prefer Bullet Ballet) is a good combo attack, so shut it. More for PvE but it still works for me.

Eye of the Storm is a great ability that pretty much gives a finger to any melee attackers by adding the defense shield during maintain (and dealing damage to melee range AS WELL as dealing extra when you're attacked!) This is only buffed more by Elusive Monk giving a dodge boost when you melee attack.

Holdout Shot is actually a good move IMO. It's your only source of a heal too.

Lock n Load because more damage. You have enough dodge increasing abilities.

Lead Tempest.. again, another dodge adding ability while used. This thing is why I could solo MD. Kept it maintained after fully maintaining EotS and was pretty much unable to be damaged.

Look at the Master for most of the reasoning behind this. One Hundred Hands with Ghostly Strikes is better because penetrating damage. And it even says it does 10% more.

There's really not much I can say about Savage either. I will say that you should get some way to stun/hold the enemy so you can apply bleeds and then Massacre them. Other than that, yeah.. it's pretty unremarkable.

Do want to give a shout out to the devs for giving it STR/CON/REC. Thanks guys, you made this thing more unkillable!

    A ranged Blade.

Torrent of Arrows and EM are going to be your only defense from Melee types (besides running around).

Straight Arrow > Sonic Arrow > Torrent of Arrows > Explosive Arrow > Snap Shot is usually a winning combo if you can pull it off.

Ranking Explosive Arrow doesn't increase the "where's the kaboom" advantage, so no need to rank it.

And you still don't rank up travel powers...

Have you played with all of these AT's? Have you tried em all?

And that's it. Sorry if the last bunch weren't as detailed, but I really had nothing to say about them.

Done with the ATs since all that's left is Squall, Inferno, Mountain and Night Avenger. The first two I just can't like and never leveled one high enough to be qualified enough to critique (Inferno definitely guilty of this.) The other two are Melee/Ranged types and I've never been able to get a strategy or build for them that I actually LIKED. Suppose that works in their favor when you can't get choose between what power you prefer over another.

So anyways, I'mma take some time off and work on the next treat I have. Those of you who will benefit most (Mainly new gold members), consider it an early Christmas present.

Ranking Explosive Arrow doesn't increase the "where's the kaboom" advantage, so no need to rank it.

And you still don't rank up travel powers...

Have you played with all of these AT's? Have you tried em all?

Aye, I have. Did not know that ranking didn't affect Explosive though, so I'll change that quickly.

And I told ya.. I never rank TPs past R2 unless there's really no use for the other points. IIRC, Kenpo is the same.
