Persian Fire, a fire/unarmed build.

Heroes, I just remade my former Inferno into a freeform that aims at maximising the Vindicator mastery.

What I am seeking is suggestions, mainly on powers.

I just started with the core idea that to maximise the mastery I needed to superstat both EGO and STR. To get the max benefit AoPM seemed the natural fit. Which in turn led me to INT as a PSS for the spec tree. Since I have STR and EGO as SSS the choice of Form is either Enrage or Concentration, but Enrage is easier to manage and has the nice Endorphin Rush advantage.

This means the energy builder and PBAoE for ranged attacks, with single target attacks for melee. The powers... since the hero is made of molten rock, Fire and Earth are thematic and Unarmed seemed more interesting than Might (ok the truth is I have a Might hero already).

Note that Empathic Healing is there since it really looks like fire.

Suggestions?

The OP wants to maximize the Vindicator Mastery.

I've never tried, but if I did, I would probably use something like the Night Avenger AT, with Night Warrior or Quarry as a passive...so I can stay in an offensive role.

I'd think the first question would be "How does using the Vindicator Mastery impact my overall damage?"

If you hit Diminishing Returns with it, then maybe not go with Enrage or Concentration, but rather Inertial Dampening Field?

Super Stat STR for the damage and KB resist. EGO could go all range attacks (or still mix it up of course).

I can't speak to the math that goes on behind the scenes, and obviously you might have much different experience with different stats/powers/etc. Just a 'for what it's worth here':

I was going to use INT/STR/EGO for my super-strong telekinetic toon. Demolish, TK Maelstrom, Cave In being the main attacks; Quarry passive, Concentration toggle (a pretty fun build, incidentally). Anyway, with about a 300/200/200 array in my superstats, Vindicator Mastery made Cave In's tooltip damage jump from about 3250 all the way to... 3400.

150 extra damage on an alpha strike seemed appallingly puny to me, so I re-tooled and decided to shelve that idea. Again, I might be overlooking some crucial detail that makes Vindicator Mastery actually worthwhile, but you might want to proceed with caution on any build that tries to take advantage of it.

Indeed the point of the thread was to get suggestions on how to maximise the Vindicator Mastery.

The numbers seem LOW. eww. I do not think then that I will hit the DR cap and will keep Enrage.

What do you think of the Unarmed powers I have chosen? I do not see Unarmed discussed very often, so I do not have a feeling on how good/bad they are.

With Enrage, I would probably go with Inexorable Tides and Dragon Uppercut since both are knocks as well. However, if you did switch to Dragon Uppercut, you might be tempted to incorporate the Rush buff...which will cause a significant chain reaction to your build that you might not want...so that would be up to you to decide.

What do you think of the Unarmed powers I have chosen?
I think they're fine - though as Ajanus mentioned, Burning Chi Fist could be swapped with Dragon Uppercut.

I would take the advantage on Rising Knee in place of Rank 3, and use a single-target attack cycle of Rising Knee>Burning Chi Fist (full charge)>Burning Chi Fist (full charge). You might want to add another Chi Fist after that, depending on the timing of Rising Knee in relation to Enrage's internal cooldown.

With four leftover advantage points and a sizable healing bonus, I would try to squeeze in another self-heal - advantaged BCR or Rank 3 Conviction would be my top choices.

Do you plan to run this in Hybrid or Support role?

I run it in Hybrid since I do not need the energy bonuses from Support and prefer to maximize the Dmg over the Healing bonus -and yeah the heling bonus is already covered by Hybrid+Pre from AoPM.

That said I will try the advantage on Rising Knee, and once I get to higher lvl (I am lvl27 atm) I will take Conviction (R3).

I guess I might forego either Pyre or Fissure. In fact, both are charged powers and taking both hurts the Rising Knee / B. Chi Fist rotation. Heh, the difference is slim. Fissure triggers MSA, but if the mobs move I cannot cast it again, so it's more suited for a tank. So I'll probably keep Pyre.

I guess I can lvl it a bit further and then see how it goes.

This could be the final build...
