Since my last build update I've been working on getting high-end gear, including a full set of Legion primaries and a Depleted Uranium Core. This ended up making for some pretty big changes.

Gear

Primary Offense
Legion's Gloves of Piercing - STR 7, CON 7, Gambler's Lucky Gem 7, Depleted Uranium Core

Secondary Offense
Vigilante's Critical Belt

Primary Defense
Legion's Breastplate of Agility - CON 7 x 2, Gambler's Lucky Gem 7 x 2

Secondary Defense
Vigilante's Bolstering Bracers

Primary Utility
Legion's Helmet of Utility - CON 7, DEX 7, Impact Prism 7, Veteran's Core of Might

Secondary Utility
Vigilante's Hastening Eyepiece

Devices
Fists of Compliance
Center of Gravity
Omicron Induced Strength (This is why I no longer need a travel power remover)
Amazing Grace
Heroic Resonance

The Utility primary made keeping INT as a SS unnecessary, which helps a ton since slotting the Depleted Uranium Core dropped my crit chance (I used to have 2 GLG 7s slotted). Swapping out INT for DEX actually resulted in slightly higher chance to crit, with a lot more defense penetration. Here's my stat panel:

The Build

Dropping INT also neutered MSA, so I've dropped that as well. I mostly run in Brawler role with Unstoppable, which provides me most of my energy from knocks. It does create a bit of an energy problem in my more defensive stances though, where I was using Invulnerability as a passive. I ended up swapping it out for Defiance, which offers better mitigation on any hit over 3k damage. Those little hits add up though, making a 5-man Hard Demon room in the Powerhouse depressingly difficult. Luckily, since I gave up MSA I was able to pick up BCR for some pretty crazy constant healing. All that healing gets me through Defiance's stack-building, so I could avoid ranking it up and use those advantage points elsewhere.

The rest of the build is pretty much what it was previously, with the exception of taking Fault Line instead of Shockwave. I keep waffling between those two and Thunderclap, all of which I like in different situations. For now, I like the ranged damage and knock, and I really enjoy the animation of punching the ground. It's perfectly thematic for Cap.

The damage!

How hard can Cap hit a level 40 training dummy with a fully charged Haymaker?

24k Crit
Unstoppable R3
Melee Damage role
3KB resist applied
Ego Surge R1
Demolish R1 (Below the Belt)
Depleted Uranium Core

That's a heck of a nice increase from the 20k - 21k crits I was reaching previously! I'm also trying out Initiative from the Vindicator spec tree for still more defense penetration, but I was able to get this result before adding it. To be fair, my crits are typically close to 23k max. I've only seen this 24k crit once, and it's possible one of the training dummies dropped a damage boost I picked up without noticing. Still...24k!

As always, questions and suggestions are welcome!

You have Demolish R2 (Below the Belt) and Ego Surge R1 listed under Damage, which disagrees with your build. Which is accurate?

As an aside, I would consider adding the Rank 2 of BCR to Demolish, as the heals on dodges of BCR/RR do not scale with rank (just the normal ticks).

Also, having both Resurgence and Conviction seems redundant. Conviction will heal for a good bit more over the same period of time. Personally, I would switch out Resurgence for Masterful Dodge, which works so well with the other heal you have, BCR. That would free up additional advantage points, that you could then put into Faultline.

Good catch. The build is accurate. I found R2 Demolish wasn't worth it. The only reason it's even in the build is to apply the debuff between Haymakers. I've edited the damage setup to accurately reflect the build used.

You know, I've had Resurgence in my build for so long it didn't even occur to me to swap it out. I may consider Masterful Dodge now that I have BCR. Thanks for that suggestion, and about moving the point out of R2 BCR. Fault Line isn't really worth ranking though. The damage scales poorly since its a ranged attack. I wouldn't mind ranking Defiance to start off with a stronger defense though.
