"Disconnected from the Game Server"

What is this?

I'll login to a character, go to the loading screen, a message will pop up at the top saying "server not responding", and then it'll send me back to the login screen with a second message "Disconnected from the Game Server." HOWEVER, I have other characters that can login fine. Most of which are in Club Caprice. I believe this issue might be on -your- end, because my internet is running fine, and has not disconnected once.

EDIT: Sorry, it says "TIMED out connecting to Game Server".

    I, too, am having this problem. For some reason though, it's with all but one of my toons.

    It started for me when I was traveling back to MC after a Warlord Run.

    Apparently I can now. That was rather unexpected, but I have a new issue now. I can't use chat. At all. No messages are sent, and no messages are received.

    I'm having this wierd issue as well.

    Sometimes I don't even make it past the splash screen when the game loads. When I do and the game loads, sometimes it doesn't let me connect - then it doesn't recognize my username/password from within the client so I have to relaunch the program.

    Then when I do manage to get on? Chat servers offline. Can't see friend list, can't access any chat at all.

    Wierdest of all is that my pidgin plugin works just fine, so I can communicate with everyone else not having this problem :|

    Update:
    Oddly enough, everything seems fine for my account from PTS. Live is just stumbling left and right.

    Lucky you. I can barely access liveserver, much less even get onto a character just to not interact with the community.

    Funny thing is that friends don't notice me online (my list shows as empty too) and I cant chat at all, but I can still participate in alerts. :|

    I can sometimes get in. Just sort of bittersweet since my friends don't see me on, I can't see any of my friends, I can't interact with any of the community in any way what-so-ever. I can just join teams and do stuff like some sophisticated NPC or whatever.

    I don't know what they did with me and at least one of my friends, but I'm not long for this if it keeps up. Much less if it goes to monday before someone even looks at it.

    Seems I owe a partial apology for being so obstinately irate. Though I'm still upset.

    Issue seems to be affecting Verizon users specifically. Have confirmed that these problems do not exist when logging on another ISP.

    Still, those of you who use the pidgin plugin, it should work fine. For whatever reason the Test Server seems to function properly

    The error we've all been getting isn't just extended to other characters, but other games. I can't log in on Neverwinter either. Apparently there was an error yesterday that screwed us all up.

    Started after I disconnected from a Nemmy alert loading in.


    ASnd I am a Verison customer. HMMMMMMMMMMMM

    Yeah. Confirming that similar issues persist in Neverwinter.

    To include the splash screen hanging (game freezes at the huge crytpic logo often) and the chat issues on successful login.

    I've been getting this since yesterday, the random game client disconnect while loading...and now I get stuck at the cryptic loading page.

    I use Verizon as well, but I don't have any other options where I live so I hope this compatibility issue gets addressed soon...

    I'm assuming that the issue we're dealing with is the "Unable to establish connection to Patch Server. Please check your internet connection. If problems persist, please contact Technical Support" message that I've also been repeatedly getting whenever I try to load CO -OR- NW?

    CO was working fine Saturday morning but, when I got home later that evening, it stopped working altogether. Something needs to be done and I don't mean later!!! :mad:

    Yeah, issue kicked in mid saturday for me as well.

    Given the notoriously poor service both PWE and Verizon, respectively, we can expect this issue to get looked at sometime late monday and maybe have a solution within a few days at best.

    Alternatively, I could be wrong and this gets fixed rather fast. I so hope I am wrong.

    Ok, so It looks like i'm not the only one getting this problem. so hopefully the support people are actually paying attention when people report issues with their game

    I was trying to load into a hideout a friend had open when i got hit with the "server not responding" error, it counted for 10 seconds before i got disconnected from game servers...

    This happened three times with three different characters... I can now no longer log on as either of them. Friend is having no issues what so ever.

    feeling already pretty pissed off, i logged on ot a few other characters to try and find out which hideouts i couldn't load onto...

    Penthouse... Nope, can't load into it, i crash, and character is locked out
    Sanctum.... Nope, can't load into it, i crash, and character is locked out
    Basement.... Nope, can't load into it, i crash, and character is locked out
    Moon Base... Nope, can't load into it, i crash, and character is locked out
    Hidden Cave... Nope, can't load into it, i crash, and character is locked out

    Well, that's 8 characters already locked out. Three from my first attempt, five from my frustrated attempt to find out if the other hideouts are going to cause me to crash... So... Other zones... I can't load into Canada, Monster island, or Vibora Bay... I'd test the desert, but i've run out of characters to test this with...

    Really hope they fix what ever they screwed up this time rather quickly.

    I see multiple people are having the same issue that I am. Right now, 2 of my characters are locked out. On the loading screen I get the "Server Not Responding" then it crashes.

    Any fixes?

    I have several toons in Ren Cen, but I can't log onto a single one, but all my toons in Caprice are all fine to log into,. What's going on?

    Not sure what changed, but the issue seems to be resolved for me now.

    Not sure what happened. About 2AM Thursday saw the same problem returning for me though.

    Had this issue again today. I randomly disconnected in game, then was unable to get past the loading screen each time I had a login attempt. Admittedly, the issue resolved itself MUCH quicker this time. (Within 5 minutes) but that still suggests the issue still exists.

    I seem to be having a similar issue. I disconnect within about five minutes of logging in. At this point its unplayable as I cant make it threw a mission with disconnecting. I have set up a constant ping to google's public DNS server from another computer on my network and i have seen no disruptions when the game disconnects.

    It seems like I'm having this issue too. I've had it - or something very similar - happen to me several times before. The game just plain starts disconnecting on me all the time, no matter where I am - be it loading, in a hideout or an instance, where ever. I'll get the 'Server Not Responding' timeout message every few seconds, and it'll clock up to ten seconds, then twenty seconds, then a full minute before disconnecting me right back to the log in screen. It's basically making the game utterly unplayable.
    What's really fun is that I recently returned to the game after taking a break for a few months. It's really making me wonder if I want to keep my subscription going when all I'm experiencing is a disconnecting mess that has happened before - quite a few times. It eventually just stops after a few days, but the fact that this problem keeps returning isn't very encouraging.

    Further, it isn't my connection - nothing else is disconnecting at all and my net is stable and working just fine.

    With double XP running, it's the *perfect* time for all the characters I've tried to use for the past 45 minutes to just not be workable...

    ... I'll try again in the morning.

    This is highly irritating, because at the moment, the game's unplayable.

    It's like my account is disconnected from the various servers (have trouble seeing alerts, mobs, and doing *anything*).

    Chat, on the other hand, shows up just fine.

    Go figure.

    I have the same problems since the anniversary with almost all of my toons.And I got a second one when I open the launcher and I log in it says unable to authenticate.What's going on and when it will be fixed?

    This is ridiculous, Can't even enjoy the last of the questionite weekend with constant server disconnections, and server not responding!! And I know for a fact its not on my side or some of the stuff I been on would have reacted the same. Can we get this issue fixed?? and not a patch I mean actually fixed!!!

    They should fix this issue I couldn't even lvl up some toon on XP week and now at the Q week the same things....How should you spend money in the game if you can't play it.

    For some reason I can only load 1st and last page of thsi thread so forgive me if I've missed a few details. First time I've had this issue is this evening, and only when I'm in an instance. When I'm in MC, no probs, but if I get into a "sewer" mission and the like, its immediate "server not responding". Not sure if the issue is tied up with the instancing or not.

    Was in FM and got disconnected. Logged in and was disconnected again. Tried 4-5 times, everyone was DCing. Finally it stopped, but by this time everyone had quit. Now I am stuck in FM and cannot exit it. "Leave group" button does not work.

    Is there another way? Logging out does not work either.

    I am on round 5 defeat the gladiators, and I can't quite solo them so I can't "finish" it either. I don't think this is a timed round, or maybe it is but it expired and is bugged now.

    Ok, I finally struggled through beating those 3 guys and moved on to the first timed round.

    Lost quickly, got my reward...and Leave Arena does not work.

    Fortunately the 60s autokick after the mission is over worked, and I am free, free, free! :smile:
