Been awhile since I've shared a picture over here. This is my newest character; No-Brainer. She's a telekinetic, and a bit of a telepath. The TK part she has control of in spades; the telepathy not so much. She can read the minds of anyone in her general vicinity; but she can't turn it off, and she can't descern who's thoughts are who's, making it not only a useless power, but one that keeps her on the edge of sanity.

She uses loud music to try and block the unwanted thoughts of those around her, with varying success.

ANYways; that's what I gots for her for now. The rest is still being thought out, as it were.

Do you want comments about anatomy and shadows?
    Probably not so, *thumbsup*.

She looks ready to animate. What are you using to draw?

Thank you. Yeah, my anatomy is a little...off. I for some reason decided I don't like outlines, so I tend to use shadow to pick out some detail that would be lost. I haven't begun to pick a light source, so shadows seem to come from wherever convenient.

Hands and feet are also bit of a problem. I can't draw them so great, but pride myself on trying, instead of, you know, Leifeld-ing my way past them.

ANYways, I'm using a free vector program called Inkscape, which I originally picked up because I couldn't be bothered scoping out a copy of Illustrator, but I fell quickly in love with it as a program. You could find it on Filehippo, if you want to give it a go.

Great you know what you are doing. You can do better. ;-D

    Choose a light source.
Let the shadows and highlights be a guide to create the forms of your image.

Inkscape is very a cool program. Keep at it!

Try tracing to get your tricky anatomy layer down.
Import an image with that common problem foot foreshortening into a layer, lower
the opacity, make a new layer to trace over it. Practice makes perfect.
