Well just did a full run (solo) and I am quite pleased with this mission, really nothing else came up to my mind that I can add as feedback.

Good work on this one Cryptic =)

This is one of the best-made missions since Whiteout, seriously. The bigger concern to me right now is getting more people into the game and keeping them.

Please keep this as permanently-available content, not just another temporary event. Please?

Also, I love the enemy designs, the consistent use of artistic theme, that the helmet drop is 100%, and although the mission is linear, it even as a bit of a touch of humor to it.

The only negative I can say is that 750 resources is NOTHING worthwhile to a level 40 character or a team of level 40's. The incentive for high-levels, particularly if running on Elite, should be much more. The same thing goes for the "G.R.A.B. alert", the reward incentive is far too low to interest high-levels (which also features shotguns and chains that don't apply knock resistance like they should).

The resources that drop at the end of the instance are now at the same level as GRAB Alerts.

That is from the last PTS update thread. So...Either you're a bit behind or it didn't update right.

I spoke with LordGar about this one. He's heard the feedback as well, and the plan is that the instances released as part of the story arc will be permanent. The finale, however, will be part of a rotation.

As of the last patch... FC.31.20130612.17 Gar updated the Resource drop at the end to be on par with a Grab Alert....and since then in my test runs, I've been getting 30k in resources (not 30k g but 30k total resources which is like 3 g if my math is right)....

And after 7 runs I finally managed to get the Virus version of the helmet to drop...and the action figure...And that Helmet looks amazing. I do have to say though the facial design on it reminds me of one of the virus's that infected Cyborg in that one episode of Teen Titans....

    endzonevirusdrones.jpg

Still amazing work good job Art team...and amazing job to the level design team too...

Just run the mission again with Mentella, I loved the mission as a whole, it felt good.

As for the boss fight...I liked the spawning ability it had and the error bits which debuff, felt good. Oh! And the webbing was a nice added feature, I think it could perhaps use it more often? Or use it when it is over you then KB OR use it then spawn minions?

The webbing itself should be made up of 01010101010's!

I am happy I was able to solo this mission.

    Top Marks

EDIT: Forgot to mention...has the spider been increased in mass? Or had it's movement speed upped? It looked bigger and moved faster..kinda creepy :p

I don't know if it was faster or not....My Fire Tank kept it locked down and unable to move for most of the fight....Fire Snake, Flash Fire, Pyre (all in melee range) then backed up Fire Breath...it twitched a little funny but that's about it...apparently it didn't like Firewalls made out of actual Fire

Indeed. Other than still having to mash Z to pick up loot from the boss before the final cutscene kicks in, this new build is tight. Well done.

Oh, and one other thing: Prime doesn't need to be digitized, she just needs a Thunderbolt port. She'll even bring her own cable.

I let it stick me in a corner because then I was able to use my circle and pretty much become immune to its damage, but my toon is a tank. It was still fun though.

Ran it on my DPS toon againand he is way more squishy and yet it was still fun.

So thanks and great work. I wish the drop rate was better on the cool stuff as I still havn't had anything drop, but maybe that means they will drop alot for me on LIVE! :D

Can't wait to play it like crazy tomorrow!...crap I dont remember the last time I was this excited about anything.

**edit**yeah the one bad thing is instantly being kicked out of the map, can we please get that fixed and just give us an exit so we can get drops from the boss? Please.

we don't have a "heroic pose" emote ...sure it can be faked with the /e battleplanlisten if you can get it to do the right pose.

But the arms crossed across the chest, nope...the Fists on the Hips nope...that's what I meant with the reply to Finn's post

If they can even get the prompt from interactives as an emote (including it choosing a random every time you used it) it would be an excellent step in the right direction.

Admit it. You (and by "you", I mean "we") want the CoH idle loop. Cryptic should just recreate it and triple-dog-dare NCSoft [spit] to sue them.

It would be kind of awesome if in the next stage we get a new emote for the purposes of using it in the instance...Double Click...basically you input the emote command. Your character taps him/herself twice on the chest (about where the center of an emblem would be if you were wearing on) and you temporarily become one of the processes. Inside the instance it functions to actually transform you into the Become for the purposes of the mission. At the end of the mission during the ending cinematic your character automatically repeats the process and returns to normal as he/she is reconstituted back in the physical world.

Holy crap that is so much better this time around. There were only two suggestions that i would make and that is:

    1) i'm still getting pulled after the boss, which loses any drops, so maybe delay the exit by a few seconds

    2) the processes and programs seemed to be kind of useless, so it might be nice to give them some emotes or actions that made it look like they were trying to scan or clean or something to make it look like they were a little more involved

Other than those two things i was blown away by the difference between this run and my last run. Either way, i can't wait to go back and play it all again once it hits live. I'm looking forward to seeing all of the costume unlocks. Please please PLEASE let that binary skin be one of them.

FYI, Costume drop is not GUARANTEED drop, it is a chance to drop.

The mission boss is not impossible to beat. Really it isn't. My crowd controller can solo and beat that mission and the boss without dying.

Yeah this is totally soloable. By accident I soloed it in elite (instead of normal) with my dps PA character, she is lvl 40 but she has no purple primaries, just blues. So yeh... I am confident to say that if she can solo elite, its def soloable overall, at least for lvl 40s, lower levels I guess they will have more problems.

If the Mind AT can do it... it's soloable. I will say the mission is clearly labeled that is most easily done with 2 players. So it's not like false advertising or anything.. but it can be done by one on an AT or a Freeform.

I did it as a level 24 glacier AT and the boss was rough. I have no doubts that my 40 FFs would have breezed through it. With my AT I was forced to alternate between blocking and snowstorm with an occasional health device. For low to mid AT's, I imagine it must be difficult.

I say stuff and I say things, sometimes together but only when I'm feeling adventurous.

I'll give a rundown of the ATs that I used for this mission and what gear they had, to which you may be surprised at some of them.

    Lv 40s:

Blade (main): Solo'd with only using one health device at boss (probably didn't even need to use it in the first place). All gear are purple quality with rank 5 mods.

Behemoth: Solo'd with self healing. All gear purple with rank 5 mods

Grimoire: Solo'd but took a little longer than the other ATs due to my build was focused around better healing and debuffs than attacks. All gear are blue quality with rank 5 mods.

Devastator: Easily rushed and solo'd thanks to AoEs. Also missing two primaries and one secondary but still managed to pull 1-2k hits.

Radiant: Solo'd thanks to heals: All gear are purple quality with rank 5 mods.

    Marksman: Solo'd. Missing two primaries.

Those are my lv 40s, as I had more but in the last few months I have redone half of my roster. Next are my non lv 40s.

38 Soldier: No gear what so ever but still solo'd thanks to The Rush of Battle advantage for healing.

30 Glacier: Solo'd with no gear, barely pulled it off and took forever to complete.

28 Unleashed. Solo'd with Nemesis Heirlooms gear. Dare I say more?

My last alt is lv 6 so not going to bother as she is strictly only for RP.

    Handle: @drgmstr

In other news, do you know when the other telepathy fixes will make it LIVE? Such as:

    • These powers tooltips are a serious case of misrepresentation. They need updating so they are not giving players a false idea of what the powers do.
    • These powers(the DoTs) do not proc TELEPATHIC REVERBERATION, the Telepathy energy unlock.
    • Ego DoTs can be dodged using any means, as a general rule DoTs should not be dodgeable.
    • The DoTs need more to be able to deal with resistances. The defense penetration does not work after the initial hit because the passive is on the player. Is this intended?
    • The debuffs cannot stack upon each other making multi telepath teams a simple case of refresh the stacks. Whilst stack refreshing can be done faster with two telepaths it is essentially the job of ONE telepath with high CD.
    • These stacks can be detonated by any one with Mind Break. It should be changed so that each individual has their own stack of Dependancy/Regret/Stress and can detonate their own stacks.
    • The debuffs strength is not affected by all CC increases, such as Manipulator. These debuffs are meant to scale with CC str and they are not being affected by increases to CC str.
    • The Login Screen ID's have reverted back to the Cryptic Login ID's instead of the PWE versions which made logging in easier as it remembered PWE login ID's. This bug has been around since the Bullet Bound For Biselle Open Mission was fixed on LIVE.

I am a bit iffy about the Defense Penetration on the DoTs, my understanding was that the DoTs and subsequent after effects were meant to ignore 30% base of target resistance for all ticks of damage.

Mind Break: Detonation for All, is a bad mechanic, it wouldn't be too dissimilar to single bladers being able to detonate each other's bleed stacks (principle wise). It can get very annoying and people who take Mind Break may detonate at an improper time, there by lifting the debuffs prematurely from a target.

Mental Weakness and Malaise do not stack on each other from multiple sources, to rectify this, it could have a stacking cap of 3, which are made up of the three strongest debuffers (duration wise) present on the team. These two debuffs are also unaffected by Manipulator, which is an issue as these debuffs scale with CC STR, which should and IS affected by Manipulator.

Bug: Involves Personal Force Field Passive (and potentially all shields) and Crowd Control (perhaps just Hold HP)

Ego Sleep when applied to a foe with PFF (player) seems to cause the break free to not only weaken the hold itself but also damage the PFF HP.

This means Breakfree is doing something wrong, OR PFF isn't working well with Crowd Control mechanics.

This bug is also visible on LIVE.
