CO Comic Creators

Greetings,

For those that don't know, I'm not only a Champions player, but I'm also a creator of fan-made comics. I initially got started through a certain "City", inspired by other creators to do my own series. Eventually I became a part of a group called the City of Comic Creators.

Sadly, as we all know, that certain "City" is no more, but our "City" took the opportunity to branch out to other MMORPGs. Obviously for me Champions became the next home, although I actually made the transition a whole year before the "City's" demise.

We have a new website called the MMO Comic Index, which, unlike the previous incarnation, serves as an all-purpose MMO Comic MediaWiki resource, including comics based in Champions Online. We don't try to replace the official Wiki - and in fact we refer to that Wiki as often as possible. Instead we provide a resource for fan-made comics that works as a supplement to the official Wiki. They tell the "official stories", and we tell some of the other stories.

Currently our Champions Online titles include:

"The Lost Adventures of Galatea Future" - a limited series that began in 2011 featuring a heroine from an alternate future in another universe showing up in the world of the Champions and finding that she has to start back at square one.

"Future's Guardian" - Following from "Lost Adventures", we see Galatea Future continuing to adapt to her new life in Millennium City with a new civilian identity, new friends, and new enemies. (By the way, this is my current series.)

"Anya Storm" - A very recent addition to the resource, this comic series from Belgium features a hero by the same name who seems to find herself in trouble on a regular basis.

We are looking for more comic creators willing to help add to the resource and make their comics available for future readers to enjoy. We have worked to restore comics that were once though lost in cyberspace so others can enjoy, and we have developed helpful tips from our own experiences for future creators to improve their own works.

The website is http://mmocomicindex.com and if you would please check it out

Oh, and btw, this has all been for free. We don't - and can't - charge for our fan-made comics. We do this because we love MMOs like Champions Online, we love comics, and we love turning MMO characters into fan-made comics. And we hope that you'll love reading them as much as we love making them.

Hi John, I've visited your page before. Thanks for this resource.

Did you spend a lot of time setting this up? I didn't know this was a thing.

I would like to contribute, what's the proper etiquette please?

Actually one of our founding members has been behind the Wiki itself. I can only take credit for adding the CO material and managing the Archive Project.

If you know your way around Wiki posts, you can create your own account and posts. We can also host your comics in PDF format as part of the Archive Project. (I can also handle the conversion to PDF.) You can send me a PM if you wish for further information.
