I know, it's been a while since we had a look at costuming options. But with the new costume items being added in and being usable regardless of Chest layer clothing options, perhaps a small request could be made here.
As you all know, hand slotted items, gloves, are seperated in Short and Long Gloves. This basically allows for an easy frame of reference on which items are which. However, many chest options (Jackets and Full Shirts, most notedly) do not allow you to use Long Gloves as clothing options.
This would make sense, if it weren't for certain items that look and act like Long Gloves being tagged as Short Gloves as well. Yet other items are not tagged as Short Gloves as well (e.g. Roin'esh Gun Hands).
So. Small request. Could we have a look at what items are short gloves and long gloves? Preferably, by making all gloves simply usable with all Chest options?
Heck, those weapon hands (Hooks, Qliphotic Blade Arms, Ball Hands, etc.)? Make them usable on both hands, why don'cha.

It may be the standard now considering that you can use new boots unlocks with all leg types even if they clip horribly.
Lets hope that all costume pieces and the tailor gets changes every now and then to finally fully be usable without worrying about "clipping issues".
The only clipping issues that should be worried about is if the costume piece clips with everything no matter what or if the pieces float off the body.
So long as the existing combinations do not in any case dissapear then i'm ok with them looking over these to increase effective combinations.

There really needs to be a glove review, to allow for more combinations without many issues.
Here is an idea I: Instead of Long Gloves and Short Gloves, there could be Tight Gloves and Wide Gloves.
Tight Gloves are those that are so short or fit so tightly with a character's skin, they wouldn't clip with bracers, jackets and the like.
Wide Gloves may clip with certain bracers, but not necesarily in a bad way. Using these should limit the selection of bracers, but not forbid them all. Also, ALL tight gloves should be in this selection as well, so chatacters can wear different sorts of gloves on each arm.
So long as the existing combinations do not in any case dissapear then i'm ok with them looking over these to increase effective combinations.
That's exactly the point, yes. No removal of options. Rather, if at all possible, open up as many options as possible. I've just put up the most egrerious examples up in the OP, but honestly, I would go nuts for doing away with Long/Short gloves altogether, and just equip whatever with any and all bracers.
Similarly with the Jackets. I mean, Geo and Rock Claw bracers alone had me wondering why they couldn't be used with Jackets, but there you go.

That should be for the players to decide if combinations look hideous.
Exactly. Just make every costume piece usable with anything else, and let the players sort it out on a case-by-case person-by-person basis. XD Those clipping issues could very well lead to some amazing, unintended costumes. Just look at the kinds of things Slapperfish cobbles together!

Yet the new costume options are usable regardless of clipping issues. In fact, the Forum Race gloves clip with many gloves and bracers, but I approve of having arm guards.
Similarly, the Roin'esh arm pieces can be used on both short and long gloves... except for the gun hand, long glove only, despite it being useable as a nice alien hand of sorts.
It's more a matter of a lack of quality control and/or hanging on to the old adagium of 'but no clipping'.
