Is this hybrid Pets/DPS viable?

The idea is to make an illusionist/stage magician with a rainbow palette for his powers. For the illusions I was intrigued by the pets from the telepathy tree since they are transparent.

I wanted to run in Ranged Damage Role and picked Ego Form as a Passive since it boosts all my damage, gives a cost discount an a very minor defensive boost. But do I lose too much dps by skipping AoED? (just to be sure, the bonus ego damage from Ego Form does not apply to the ego damage done by the pets, right?)

Here is the build, I am currently lvl.22. Aside from my question above, do you have any suggestions?

I'd suggest taking a different heal. While Palliate is a strong heal and has an aggro wipe, if you gain aggro again during that time you can get into trouble. Illumination also seems a bit out of place as you have no powers that feed it. For stats, I would suggest an intellect SS and dexterity/presence SSS. Intellect increases the power of pets, and presence raises their hp, dexterity gives your character a better chance at getting a critical hit/heal. I'm also thinking that AoPM may be better for a pet build than Ego Form, but you may have to do a few tests to see which one you like better.

Is it still true? I could not find it in the wiki or in the stat description, but we all know that there are some inconsistencies, so it may be well true. If that's the case I need to reevaluate the build. EGO as a PSS +DEX/REC was chosen for maximum dps of the hero (as well as the offensive instead of support passive), with the pets meant to complement its dps and for visuals.

nope, unless your SS are pre and int, because now it's based off your SS

Ok so it is as I thought... you can use any PSS/SSS combo for pets and they will be boosted. (of course a support poassive is buffed in its aura by PRE).

You might want to consider Summon Shadows from Darkness They're visually dissimilar from the others, but still work as illusions. And the Advantage is quite useful.

Definitely Summon Shadows goes in in place of Illumination that was a placeholder. I will need to shuffle around the order of the powers and the adv. Ty.
