I use a controller with custom key binds within the game pad software, and like most gold members, I have 8+ characters. (10 since I have two Level 40s.) For example, I do not use the tab button, but rather the [ key to switch targets. I also remove the number pad binds and customize them for one touch window opening or item use. (C1 is num5) I also remove the annoying toggle full screen since I have two high resolution monitors and I often have the wiki open on the second one.

Anyhow, I find it quite tiresome to always set my key binds with each character. I wish there was a way to save the options in a file and import them to a new character, or even into a new computer. (I recently switched hard drives due to some issues.) If there is this option then please let me know how I can use it, for I often dread switching to a new character or making a new one.

You can use the LOAD UI button on the UI tab of the Options to set those parameters but for keybinds, you can use:

    /save_bind_file NAMEWITHPATH

and then on your new character just type:

    /load_bind_file NAMEIWITHPATH

So, for example, I always type:

    /load_bind_file "E:/Games/ChampionsOnline/CO_Binds2.txt"

    to load in my keybinds.

EDIT: Oopsie ---- Somebob has it right, the format is actually /bind_save and /bind_load!

You don't have to use the filename, as he notes, unless you have multiple keybind files.

oh thanks, I'll keep that in mind :)

Edit, hmm, that save does not seem to work. I'll have to fiddle with it, I really want to save my key binds

You don't need to use the file bit of the bind command.

    Just use /bind_save and /bind_load

NOTE: That saves/loads into a single binds.txt file located in your CO directory. So if you happen to use /bind_save again, it replaces said file.
