[Armadillo Defense Bonus] it is a single item, sold by someone @lezdra and in the description it sais it gives the same bonus armadillo gears give...it is not bound and is tradeable...any ideas?

    My guess would be that it IS the defense bonus from the Armadillo Gear, and that the same bug that makes boosts become lootable items somehow hit that buff, and turned it into one.

    Could it actually give the buff? Or is it just a useless nothing?

    Nah, known bug. You can't actually use boosts or other items like that. If it can't be slotted in some way, it can't be used, and you can't slot those bonuses anywhere.
