Knights of the Zodiac Tenebris

Hi everyone,
Today I want to show the beginning of a themed costume-SG. It all started with Libra Tenebris, my Single Blade toon. I have to say my fellow mates from the group didn't show themselves much these last months, and Libra Tenebris came after a night where some of us suggested to come with ideas to make things fun again. I suggested that each member would have a toon designed around one of the twelve signs of the zodiac - and YES, I was a big fan of Saint Seiya, and still am. I chose Libra cause it's my own sign, and Single Blade cause 1) my last Single Blade had been erased ; 2) Libra is the symbol of Justice, hence the sword.
Recently, I worked around that whole Zodiac concept and with a little help of Wikipedia, I ended with this :
- the 12 signs are divided in 4 groups of 3, these groups being linked to one of the 4 elements Fire, Earth, Water and Air
- each sign would use a main Power Set : this has some kind of roleplay purpose, as the 12 toons are supposed to be the avatars of the 12 "forces" behind the signs
To respect the traditional In Tenebris outfit, I kept black as the main color, and the secondary color depends on the element : red for Fire, yellow for Earth, white for Air and blue for Water.
So it gives :
Signs of Fire :
- Aries Tenebris / Force : like a (battery) ram, Aries is able to deal powerful crushing damage, but when out of combat he looks like he's just doing nothing special. The costume is meant to be simple and cool.
- Leo Tenebris / Fire : no costume yet. I would probably use the Spartan Lion Helmet/Armor and the Fantasy cape to start with, maybe Fur Shoulder Pads and Bracers, Lion Tail, and Fur Boots. Fire is chosen to have one of the 3 signs use it, but Bestial would do good too as a secondary power set.
- Sagittarius Tenebris / Archery : no costume yet. Archery is obvious since Sagittarius is the only guy with a bow. Saint Seiya again. As far as the costume goes, some mohawk would be good as the horse hair.
Signs of Earth :
- Taurus Tenebris / Might : pure brutal force. Probably a Tank/Brawler. Every part of the costume should scream Br?tal.
- Virgo Tenebris / Unarmed : Virgo = virgin, so no use for fancy power or weapon, only bare hands. This toon doesn't have to be female, though having some boo... I mean, some of the other gender would be nice. The outfit should enhance the concept of simplicity and efficiency.
- Capricornus Tenebris / Heavy Weapon : no costume yet. It should definitely have the Demon Horns on the forehead, put on a helmet. Remember Shura from Saint Seiya and his Excalibur ? Capricornus is the same as Taurus, but with more craftiness and "aura".
Signs of Air :
- Gemini Tenebris / Dual Blades : what better power set than Dual Blades for the sign who got both Yin and Yang. The Halved Tights show these two extremes fighting in the same body. There is a few work on the colors to make left mirror right. I think of Gemini as a silent deadly assassin (and NOT as Zetsu from Naruto, gimme a break), so there's no need for some fancy parts.
- Libra Tenebris / Single Blade : I can't post the costume as posts are limited to four pictures, but he looks like an executioner with a hood. The choice of Single Blade fits even better once Gemini gets Dual, it creates an opposite as Libra is meant to be completely neutral. One sword to strike good and evil alike. His blade is actually the Nephilim one.
- Aquarius Tenebris / Wind : no costume yet. I know Aquarius sounds like water, but it's really a sign of Air. In order to keep the idea of something fluid, I chose Wind as the main power set. The costume should include a cape, a few ornaments, and some nice pattern on the tights - no need for armor when you control the storm. Maybe a medium skirt or stuff like that.
Signs of Water :
- Cancer Tenebris / Claws : Claws are the closest to the crab pliers. The choice of the Samurai armor can be explained by the look of it, which reminds of the crab shell (and this is for the Crab Clan from Legend of 5 Rings). I should add some Insectoid mouth piece, I guess.
- Scorpio Tenebris / Infernal Supernatural : no costume yet. Scorpions have poison, Scorpion has his amazing fiery chain ("COME HERE !"), so Scorpio Tenebris has all of this. I'm not sure if he should look like Scorpion because blue would change him into Sub-Zero, but his costume should look like the guy is dangerous. Really. And with Gold Account advantage, turn the poison from green to dark blue.
- Pisces Tenebris / Ice : no costume yet. Sadly we don't have a real Water Power Set, so Ice is as close as we can get. There are enough costume parts available to look like a fish, namely Fins, so it's quite easy to come up with something.
And here it is. My Libra is on the way to lv40, so if you feel like joining in, just let me know. But as concepts are only ideas and suggestions, feel free to use these ones as you want. I won't piss you off with copyright infringement.
