So I had an interesting little debate in Zone the other day...

It was about PvP (of course) and the gigantic lack of balance, even between ATs. The person in question said that their Soldier was far better than a Behemoth in PvP, which is most definitely not the case last time I checked.

Soldier VS Behemoth:
Soldier wins if they:
Catch the Behemoth off guard with a Sniper shot.

Behemoth wins if they:
Catch the Soldier with a lunge.
Juggle them with knocks.
Hit them with a thrown object. (rock one-shots in AT UTC Lava Temple haunt my nightmares)

The fight is a draw if:
The Soldier can escape with a Smoke Grenade and activating their travel power, so long as the Behemoth isn't using Leg Rumbler to keep them in place.
In the off-chance that Shotgun works on the Behemoth, the Behemoth will be knocked back and the Soldier can escape.

The Behemoth does OK damage, but even OK damage can topple a squishy like the Soldier, and yet there IS a way for the Soldier to win, even if it's by being sneaky.

So let's play a fun little game I know you'll all love: Archetype PvP matchups.
Assume no devices are available.
These are fresh F2P level 40 ATs equipped with Heroic Gear and R5 mods.
The fights are one on one.

Lemme do one more real quick then I'll let the rest of you take the floor.

Marksman VS Scourge/Cursed

Marksman wins if:
Critical Explosive Arrow, Torrent of Arrows, charged Straight Shot.

Scourge/Cursed wins if:
Critical, undodged Defile taps provided the Marksman doesn't swoop in and out of the 100 ft range.

The fight is a draw if:
Explosive Arrow and a poison DoT kill both fighters at the same time.

The Marksman's advantage is the versatile array of attacks they can use, effectively able to do extreme damage to the Scourge/Cursed via knocking, stunning, rooting and tagging them with Explosive Arrow to set up a burst that will pop them like a balloon if it's timed right. The Scourge/Cursed, on the other hand, needs to just get lucky and tap Defile a bunch of times while keeping up with the Marksman.

Matchups I'm interested in hearing about:
Glacier VS any AT
Invincible VS any AT
Any situation where an Inferno can win

    Behemoth vs Specialist.

    Specialist Wins If:
They spam Eye Of The Storm with advantage, and Behemoth is dumb enough to keep throwing their fists into it.

    Behemoth Wins If:
They get lucky and RNG allows them to get some knocks off, and lets them get some big hits past Lightning Reflexes.

The Fight Is A Draw If:
The Specialist Breakaway Shots themselves off the side of a skyscraper just as the Behemoth is Lunging, and they tap each other to death a second after hitting the ground.

Champions Online: Be the hero you wish you could be in a better game.

With the specs, Glacier is probably the best AT out there now. Many people were obsessed in using Avalanche and such while you could just get some knock resist, a very large health pool, the Ice Explosion with Freeze Dirtbag + Ice Cage and just spam the hell out of Ice Blast with advantage. It can also have access to Unbreakable twice.

It will win against most of ATs:
-Behemoth due to massive kiting with the 100ft attack.
-Blade as they're pretty much naked and powerless once Masterful Dodge is off.
    -We won't talk about Grimoires.
-The Inferno because it's a squishy on-charge nuker with 50ft attacks against a massive tank with crowd control and 100ft attacks.
-The Marksman because it will be outlasted.
    -Let's skip the Radiant.
-The Soldier because its one trick pony playstyle won't bring a Glacier down.
-The Disciple because the Ego Blades weren't reviewed at all when the specs has hit them in the face.
-The Fist because the crowd control is too much for them to handle and the Glacier can survive the few hits it will take.
-The Impulse because it's never done anything anyways.
-The Inventor -Refer to the Impulse-
-The Savage because it's actually too much damage for them to handle.
-The Specialist because it will be kited and there will be eventually a few hits that will go through LR.
-The Squall and the Tempest will be outlasted by a long shot.

It will have boring draws against the Mind and the Master.

And will have a fair matchup against high CON Devastators, high CON Scourges, high CON Void, even if the chances are REALLY low, the Invincible, the Mountain and the Unleashed:

-The outcome of a fight between Glacier and Scourge will depend of the Scourge's ability to stay out of the Glacier's crowd control.

-The outcome of a fight between Glacier and Devastator will depend of how often Eruption will apply a knock-up.

-The outcome of a fight between Glacier and a Void will depend of who's dominating on crowd control (Shadow Blast advantage and Ebon Rift vs. Freeze Dirtbag and Ice Cage)

-The outcome of a fight between an Invincible and a Glacier will depend of range. The Invincible has a much greater sustain but only 50ft attacks, including the EB.

-The outcome of a fight between a Glacier and a Mountain will depend of who's dominating on the CC.

-The outcome of a fight between a Glacier and an Unleashed will depend of how often Force Geyser does knock, DW does crit, and if the Glacier managed to apply Chill.

There were alot of AT fights my Void and MCLUVING's Devastator got into, it was almost interesting and refreshing.

I don't use eye of the storm, so unless you're just kidding, then no. :P I think they both have a good shot at winning.

It's just about analyzing the odds in fights between different AT's, noone gives a damn if you don't use EoTS, just quit being a jerk for pete's sake.
