"Join" window disappears

One thing I noticed running alerts this weekend was that occasionally the "Are you Ready?" windows would pop up, then disappear before I could click "Ready". 30 seconds later, I'd get the "You didn't respond in time and were removed" message. I noted that this always coincided with a change in the alert that I was queued for.

Is this simply because that alert ended, or what?

    it happens because that particular Alert is no longer flagged as Active by the system and so unless your inside it and it's already started, it drops everybody queued for it. As far as that window popping up even though its going to drop you and not give anybody the chance to click it, they're just taunting you with it. Seriously though, I have no clue why it pops up...
