Something like a words with friends, or draw something or whatever, but keeping it Champion's Online related on the website, for when the servers are down!
Mini-games for everyone ranging from simple things like Tic-Tac-Toe, to a chess game involving Champions related figures as the pieces.
Cryptic is fully capable of implementing such a simple feature on the website! So why not?
How's about just bringing back the My Characters page, and the abilty to edit bios. That'd help right? Something Champs related to do during down time?
Although, I'm not sure if those functions work when the server is down.

You're right. But as you can see from here, the website team is lazy, incompetent, or both about getting that fixed:

... You sure about that?
I mean it's a clever idea, but it's one more thing that could break (given Cryptic's track record, something most likely would). Tbh, I'm not partial to risking the one form of communication trailturtle has to us.
I know nothing about how it gets done, but Cartoon Network has loads of simple to play games on it's site.
They even have a game creator. Maybe it doesn't have to be a Cryptic/CO page. Maybe it could be a PW page with different minis for each of it's MMOs. For CO, I could see one for hover tanks to fight of incoming flyers or one where a hero must defeat Destroids as they come of of an assembly line. And to move to any next big level, you'd need to take down a Mega-D. Your "HERO" should be one of the Champions, not one of our heroes. And STO could easily have a Phaser Range for target practice and/or a Kobayashi Maru simulator.
As an aside, if the CO world had a few Arcades in game where heroes could go and play jokey in-game minis, that look like to mockups on VB map, that would also be fun to do once in a while. Or maybe just one new room inside Champions HQ or one as part of Snake Gulch or...
Well, I'm sure others know better than me what is and isn't possible. Or a waste of Dev time.
... y'know, I'm going to go off the cuff here, but I think it'd be pretty cool to be able to spotlight minigames like that. I'm reeeeeealllly leery of asking for any dev or web time to making the games themselves, but it would be pretty cool to have a "Fan Creations" page where we could host fun stuff like that. Especially if we had a couple fun games already made, I have to imagine we could get some web dev time to make a page to host it.
I'm a big indie gamer myself and a (very) amateur programmer, and it might be cool to make some just-for-fun Champions minigames.

Ok, my programming skill is just this side of nil, so I can't do this myself, but I offer the idea up for anyone who wants to make it
A two-part Flash game: The first part is a paper doll style character creator with costume parts inspired by the in-game costume creator, similar to the avatars used on websites like Gaia.
The second part is a Pac-Man style maze, each level based off various zones in the game and populated with enemies indigenous to the area. The goal of each level is to navigate the maze using your custom character, avoid the enemies, and make your way to Caliga and poke him before he gets chat banned and ragequits!

This gets a little away from the topic of minigames, but I always thought a Champions card game/TCG would be cool. I got into Sentinels of the Multiverse about the same time I started on Champs in earnest, and I would have loved to get the same feel into a card game of my own.

I think you're describing something like the "Shoot Things With A Spaceship" bar here?
The application seems to be very simple and they give the link to the developer (Kick ****). I'm sure it's cheap and they would do it for their Neverwinter page...
Edit: well Fynn totally out posted me. Didn't know you could do it with any random webpage: which means PWI has to do nothing at all! Just head there!
I wrecked CO site.....
And Facebook.
And PW site.
And bombed heck outta internet!
Okay. I get it now. Blowed up a whole bunch of sites now. Did the vanilla Google page in 3 seconds.
The default is the Asteroids triangle ship, but you can use many other ships. The X-Wing is okay, but the Bird of Prey did a better job. It needs a Fed ship. The Defiant maybe.
The only flaw in it is that it shoots black dots that are invisible on a page with a dark background. Other than that it's kind of fun.

Grabs one of your characters at random and you play against another player or the Champions or random villain of your choice.
Lord have mercy! I'd never get anything done...
MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
Vanish in the air you'll never find me

(Replace Ryu and Ken with your CO character.)
Oh wow that actually doesn't sound like that bad of an idea.
Although, I'm not sure if those functions work when the server is down.
You're a lunatic with a mad man's dream of a milk proof robot!

Tell me with a straight face that doesn't piss you off a little?
Previously as it only updated once a day it never was an issue. At worst you would just have the old info locked in place until the next refresh.
Real-time is unnecessary for a web feature like that.
That's a friggin' EPIC idea!
Maybe you could play for catalysts as prizes, aracade style.
Consolidate the currencies! (Please!)
Does your Champion have a theme song? (share it!)
Got a funny in-game screenshot? (share it!)
Please fix the Overdrive energy unlock! (Should help promote thematic build diversity!)
I would never. leave. the. website.

Something kinda like...This, for example.
Deliciously nutritious!
I don't get it. Is that a cell phone thing?
