Hi, I havn't played this game for a while and have recently come back to it.

I use an xbox controller, my problem is that the D-pad modfier doesn't work for my devices.
I decided i would remap my controller but when I loaded the text document in game with /bind_load it didn't seem to do anything.

can someone tell me
1. why my controller/controllers D-pad modifier isnt working?
2. How to remap controller, am i missing something?

Thanks

You might need to reset your keybinds to default, then try. What are you pressing to try to activate your devices?

It's usually D pad right and ABXY.

There is no confirmation. When you say you're using bind load you're not mentioning a file name after the bind load command so is your file ent_keybinds.txt? That's what bind_load uses by default so if you're not using that file you have to specify which file after bind load.

    Type these for the defaults:

    /bind Joypad_Right+XB +InventoryExec Devices 0
    /bind Joypad_Right+YB +InventoryExec Devices 1
    /bind Joypad_Right+AB +InventoryExec Devices 2
    /bind Joypad_Right+BB +InventoryExec Devices 3
    /bind Joypad_Right+RB +InventoryExec Devices 4

As long as we're here.. how can I unmap the build swap function on the D pad? I have an issue where using an Item sometimes makes me swap builds.. often unequipping the item [and my passive], changing my role and moving all my powers around my hotbar in the middle of a hairy fight, making it a hell of a lot hairier instead of using the Item I wanted to use.

The D-pad on the regular controller is tricky in that it tends to send a diagonal command way too easily. That's why I use one of the newer controllers with the transforming 4-/8-way D-pad. It's more reliable, but not foolproof.

Anyway, the build swap commands by default are bound to D-pad down plus face button. Very easy to trigger it if you were going for D-pad right. To unbind them, try:

    /unbind Joypad_Down+XB
    /unbind Joypad_Down+YB
    /unbind Joypad_Down+AB
    /unbind Joypad_Down+BB

    Alternatively:

    /bind Joypad_Down+XB ""
    /bind Joypad_Down+YB ""
    /bind Joypad_Down+AB ""
    /bind Joypad_Down+BB ""

Oh, I know how easy it is to accidentally trigger my build swaps when trying to use devices!

    Thank you!
