    For me it has gotten even worse. when i tried to start the launcher i got the pop up message that explorer was no longer working and I had to restart windows to get rid of the popups

    I'm actually less impatient for CO (nothing I'm doing there can't wait) as for STO. For their third-anniversary event, there's supposed to be a mission that'll let me get an Ambassador-class cruiser for Cmdr. T'Song (and maybe Cmdr. Sajak - the David Drake, a Heavy Escort, is useful for some missions, but he could really use a ship with some aft-firing beam weapons to go with his mine launcher).

    I have the launchers for both games up now.

    Can't get in, but STO is patching (I haven't played it in a loooong time. Could be older stuff getting patched now).

    Now that already looks better.... launcher started and log-in screen appeared.

    If I were you guys I would stop trying to keep refreshing the launcher until we get word it is fixed. Launcher is working but servers are down again for those who can't log in. Talked to one of my buddies who is still in-game now over Steam, warning him not to log off if you wish to stay ingame. Lets me get a chance to play some PlanetSide 2 :biggrin:

    perfectworld has made update become a taboo word ,yesterday my brother told me he updated my computer so I punched him in the face but it turned out my computer still worked.

    Belive me, there are game with crappier update issue, like Joymax (Also known as Trollmax).
    At least, if this is a problem in boston, it's not really an develop team problem.. =x

    Sadly we're not getting the "Servers Closed" message since we aren't making it past the login server.

    That's why I said "close" and not "up". :tongue:

    The launcher issues look to be resolved. We're beginning the normal maintenance now -- I'll let everyone know as I hear more.

    I got so far that the game itself launches ... however it asks me to log in with my PWE account ... which ehm ... i iz trying *gasp*

    I guess issue is still being an issue ... in the meanwhile lets try some comedy

    On an Irish wedding the priest asked all the married men to go stand next to the person who made their life worth living ...

    The local bartender almost got trampled

    Well, worse things...at least we are being kept in the loop and now it is on to supposedly just shut-down, restart/reboot :rolleyes:

    I'll consider that limit reached at about the 24 hr mark. Before then, it's just maintenance running a wee bit longer.
