connection problem

hey,
I can not start the game
the autoupdate luncher freez and error connections problem
and the special exe here not work + new installier work too not+ my english suck +++.....

    Same here. Was in game earlier and "Chat is offline" popped up, the world was silent but for the whingy pleas of Defender, "Regan, do you have a minute?".
    Decided to restart since relogging had no effect, launcher fails to connect.

    Please feed the hamsters, Devs!

    Yep, can't connect. Was in-game and I noticed the patching file dialogue came up but nothing was happening. Zoned through a door and got stuck on the loading screen, now can't get back on.

    Same here, the CO launcher patchserver seems be down, even reconnect doesn't fix it

    same here. though it has been intermittent. Same with STO's launcher. My connection is fine, as Netflix is still streaming, and I am able to log into other games. I am in Northern New York, on Time Warner Cable of Central New York.

    Ditto. Wish I woulda seen this thread earlier though... I just initiated an uninstall and reinstall. Shoot.

    Same issue here. Is this a general thing, or are some people connecting without any problems?

    Yeah me too, CO and STO are not launching. Northeast Pa is my location. PenTeleData is my provider.

    same here, i live in england, glad this idnt just me since i was talking to people when everything stopped working and i read some people appear to still be online even when theyre gone, hope that isnt true.

    Seem like the login server for europe are down. I have the same problem and a friend of mine, aswell we're both from the same country.

    I'll throw my hat in too with the problem with the connection on the east coast of the US. It's not connecting for the updater at all for at least the past 3-4 hours now from what I can tell. As it was fine before I went to sleep early this morning.

    I also have the same problem.

    This is probably completely unrelated, but sometime in the last few days all my old bookmarks to posts from the original forums have stopped redirecting. When I went in and changed them to co-forum.perfectworld.com, without altering the showthread portion they all started working fine again.

    I wonder if there's a redirect issue with the launcher?

    I've, ahem, 'fixed' the issue by connecting via a VPN/Proxy. Which lets face it, is not really a fix.

    Looks like it's a routing issue or similar somewhere :(

    Update**

    TrailTurtle did say there is an issue with the games launchers, as with other games launchers in a post recently.
    They are aware, so it's no fault with specific users, do not modify any contents in your folders just as a precaution, it is annoying but they are aware, will be notified once issue is resolved, keep an eye on this thread i will update asap.

    I have my doubts it's specifically the 'Launcher'. It's a connection problem of some kind.

    Proxy off (EU) - Same problems as everyone else.

    Proxy on (US - NY) - Connects just fine, same launcher.

    What would be lovely, would be if someone actually officially responded regarding the whole thing. I don't think that's too much to ask. Especially as a fair few of us are paying subscribers...

    I too am unable to access the game, darn patcher. I had just created a char I really wanted to play. (also I have a bike to flog lol) please fix it soon.

    Says on the front page of the website in a red box "We are aware of an issue in which some players are unable to open launcher. Our engineers are currently investigating the issue." For anyone who wants to know.

    Every time this happens there is one quick sanity check I can do. Just try to go to http://www.champions-online.com in my web browser. It will inevitably hang until it eventually times out.

    As soon as I can use that link instead of co.perfectworld.com the launcher and patcher work just fine.

    *edit - FYI - it isnt working right now.

    East coast of USA near DC, It was working this morning but when I came back to it about 3 ESt got the error.Still the same stuff. I guess thty're doing their best but this game has more downtime than anything else I've played. good thing its one of my absolute favorites ever.

    Yeah, it's exactly the probleme, the launcher doesn t connect :(

    It really grabbed me also. I don't like MMOs much but I've played the pen and paper version of Champions for over 20 years and this just felt like home. it even snatched me away from Skyrim.

    I really hope its going to have a long life.

    Hi, I am sort of new here, I downloaded the game like few hours ago, I played this game before like a year ago. I try to play the game but I got stuck in Cryptic Launcher, it says "The patchclient got a message while it was in a state with no response function", is there anything I need to do to fix this? Thanks.

    ok so as far as i can see this is a EU problem.i'm from europe and i have some big problems with the game.the louncher works well "decent".it takes some time to start but it works.i can enter the game but it takes a loot longer.but,my bigges problem is in-game patching/loading.there my connection breaks.seems that from the last maintenance i cant stay connected to the server so someone should do something with the server.

    Probably the same thing happening to me. Playing in Europe too, no problem so far, then this afternoon I switch on another toon, and suddenly it's hypermegalagfest. Only CO is ****ed up, my Internet works as my other games do.
