Which fusion type should I be picking, Arms, Science or Mystic - are these all the same? I'm playing a Scourge.
From a crafting point of view, they are all identical. However, When it comes to optional mission activities, Arms seems most common, followed by Science. Have yet to encounter a Mysticism activity.

One thing to be aware of is that once you pick one of three you will probably see objects from the other two far more frequently, as the game only seems to hide your own from you.
Superhero stories, done well, are about modern archetypes.

I'm still at skill 1 but i'm already level 17. I played through all of westside but never noticed
a node until i tried an adventure pack, but then, i already needed Skill 100+ to open it.
What can i do? Do i have to go back to Westside... and even if i do, how can i find nodes?
Do i find them in missions only or are they world objects?
You won't find any nodes in Westside. The best places to look depend on what skill you have, but in general, look for enemies in the same level range as your skill level (ie, level 15-25 for skill under 100), and of a type related to your skill (Soldiers for Arms, robots for Science, wizards for Mysticism, etc). You'll find all three types in any given area, but the appropriate nodes will be in greater supply.
For < 100 skill level, I stick around Project Greenskin in the Desert, and Steelhead in Canada.
Nodes are outside missions. They glow like misdion objectives when you get close, and also put an icon on ypur minimap when you're near them. There's only a few types; you'll start to recognize them before you're close enough for them to glow fairly quickly.
There's skill objects inside some missions, but most (if not all) affect the flow of the mission, like a console allowing an Arms character to disable all turrets in a mission, rather than having stuff in them.

There's a chest leading up to Vikorin that makes you immune to the lava.
