Problem with Pando server

I'm trying to get Champions loaded onto my Vista-64 machine, but I get hung up on the Pando server connection. My firewalls have been cleared for access. I fail the connectivity check but 'pass' on both test URLs listed on the Pando help sight. And ya my date and time on comp are correct. Pandos recommendations for troubleshooting after date/time check are totally incomprehensible to me, anyone got some advice for a CoH refugee that's desperate to get back to the Hero thing? Thanks much

Some help threads from the technical support forum:

Try downloading the launcher directly via this thread:

    Or install CO via Steam.

What is Panda Media Booster? Apparently:

"That's Pando Media Booster. It's the fake torent software that PWE is using to distribute the client files so that they don't have to host them anymore. It's likely that your security software is detecting it as Adware, or something similar and is blocking it. You will need to temporarily disable your security."

I installed Star Trek Online via Pando Media Booster last year, and it was a huge pain. To get it to work, I had to download an updated PMB client from the Pando site before it would even work. (The version of PMB included with the STO installer did not.)

And yes, it is a BitTorrent-style file sharing client, so you probably want to uninstall it after you're done.

I personally would recommend installing CO via the Steam client.

Exactly. Buy and download it through Steam. That's what I did. No Pando, no muss, no fuss.
