Getting Steamy

With the release of the new steampunk pieces from the Christmas event, I've been pondering

how to actually integrate steampunk into some characters's design so i was wondering if

there are any general 'rules' or guidelines to think about when making a steampunk costume.

    The stuff i've picked on is from comic books. I think the costumes are mainly something from Viktorian age England (that you may have to Google, too much to explain :biggrin: ) kind of stuff, but space/western stuff goes too, added with mechanical gizmos and thing-a-majigs with cogs, valves, gauges, pipes from something working with steam could include. Leather stuff, bronze, brass, golden, silver colors on metal stuff.
    And don't forget the Bushy Stach!

    Pretty much what Finn said. Just Google 'Steampunk' for some ideas.
