I'm an ex-CoHer, and I joined up for Gold membership when they had the $30/3 month promotion. My understanding was this subscription deal was good indefinitely.

However, I just happened to check out my subscription page, and it says:

Type: 3-Month Recurring Gold - Limited Time Offer
Status: INACTIVE
Play Time Until: Jan. 7, 2013
Subscribed For: 92.37 days

and when I go to re-activate my subscription, the only 3-month option was $41.97 for three months.

I had done nothing to inactivate my subscription, and they have my credit card on file.

So, what gives? Was it always just for the first 3 months, or do other people still have the $30/3 mo. deal?

As I underestand, as long as you don't cancel the subscription, the promo will hold. If for whatever reason you decide to cancel your sub, the promo is over.

Open a Billing Support ticket. they can get you straighted out.

That's his problem; he DIDN'T cancel it.

Sounds like some manner of billing glitch.

maybe his credit card espired ? It happened to me on CoH: the day before the day that they used to bill me my cc espired and since i forgot to give them the new cc my account went inactive. Luckly I remembered soon afterward to give them the new cc

Yeah, I did not cancel my subscription, and the credit card has not expired -- in fact, it's given as the first choice of how to pay for my new subscription plan.

I've submitted a ticket -- I guess I mostly wanted to make sure that the $30 deal should indeed be automatically recurring. I looked up the original thread posted by Trailturtle and he explicitly stated the deal should continue as long as you don't cancel, so I hope this gets fixed. Otherwise, my subscription costs just went up $4 a month.

My bad then, if you didn't cancel and the credit card info is up-to-date, then you should open a CS ticket in the support page.

I hope this get solved soon.

    And happy new year :3
