Fact: Event mobs don't attack or become hostile to you unless you attack them first. The only way to "randomly" be attacked by one is if they spawn while you were spaming AoE's in the area. If the poster was idle at the police station this couldn't have happened. The only way he would have been attacked by event mobs is if he/she attack them first.

Also the first mob for the event is aggro and will keep appearing until you finish the starting quest. The possibility exists for that to become a nuisance if you are pulling more than you can handle and one decides it's time to pop up.

I haven't seen anyone complain about this issue any time I've been logged recently, and I've been to London a couple of times to visit the bank and such. This is not to say no one has complained--I'm sure some have. But my point is that you're overstating something we have no way of verifying on the wrong forum (this is the CO forum, not TSW's) where people don't come to discuss issues about TSW. And...

(figuratively speaking) But if anyone says, no it's not, and points to examples of how it's die, die, die, break your gear on each death, then make you pay to repair your gear, even though you can't earn any money, since you can't complete a quest without dying. And after 10 times of dying, if you haven't repaired your gear, then your gear is at 0 and completely useless.
Then they obviously are wrong and shouldn't post anything negative about Oh So Awesome TSW.
Side note: I like how the forums of both of these games are so much more fun to play on then the actual games themselves. ))))

Well first off there is the in game chat. Can't show you examples, since I didn't screen cap the chat box. I log into London for 3 minutes ( to turn in my 5 kin a day for xp at the blue tent since I already farmed the remains to do so) and in that time I *still* hear people speak of how they can't level, since the mayans kill them during their mission.
However there are posts on the forum. I have examples to show you. Oh and alot, but not all, are in the Feedback forum for this event. So, I didn't even have to go looking far to find them.

The rest said they were unhappy with the event. If we're really going to compare bad events on different MMOs, I think the Dr. D one here wins the grand prize and still think many of the people complaining are most likely using Aoe heavy builds while running around solo which is a recipe for death when you're not paying attention.
Wasn't that also supposed to happen after the release of STO? And now they have 50 or so staff, and there's about... Three here, apparently?

TSW only shipped 200k , ( f@%k I am pretty sure Chocobos Dungeon has shifted more ) thats a poor showing. TSW and CO are on steam and both of them struggle to get on the top 100 while well Trek ***** slaps both TOR and DCUO.. Jealous of what...I paid full price for TSW I do actually play it so I know how bad it is, and now its an Amazon budget game along with Serious Sam and Lolipop Chainsaw, highbrow stuff indeed. I would say I am pissed that it can be picked up for $10 bucks in the local WalMart bargain buckets.
I will still play those two games for the LOLS but my advice to anyone is not to bother with them and install STO instead. Like I said before its not ****.
I have a comic store but I also sell games and out of the huge amount of 10 copies of TSW I stocked I sold ONE and that got returned because the guy when he bought it thought it was a 3rd person shooter. *edit* That same week some balding type guy asked if I had any Champions online copies I said I have 2..He bought them both for like $20 bucks each...he is also an idiot XD
