When does the Winter Event start in this game?

    When it's done in PTS.

    Finn's answer is just as good as Thundrax's. If it's ready by Friday, then it's Friday. If it's not done by Friday then it'll get pushed live when it's ready.

    Last I checked the PTS (yesterday) the Blood Moon event was still in mostly full swing. So the PTS isn't really ready yet.

    And yet the first answer was also both precise and informative. The Winter Event is known, even to a Silver like me, to be on the PTS currently; with luck, the major bugs will be discovered and ironed out before it goes live. (And, with equal luck, taking it Live won't create new bugs that can't be found on PTS, like the one that shut down the Destroid event, where 40s that joined teams during the event found themselves dropped to Level 1 afterward.)

    Wow..I come in and ask a question, and this is what i get? I thought this was a friendly community. I dont even know about this pst or pts thing. I am litterally like 1 week old to this game. So no, i dont know when winter events typically start, or how..or anything. I thought that was the point of a forum. To ask questions. I see no reason to bother doing it again after this.

    You asked a question and received two answers, one of which you didn't like so you essentially said it was unfriendly and imprecise. So, instead of asking questions "What's a PTS?" "When does it normally start?" you resorted to acting unfriendly yourself.

    PTS is the PlayTest Server. New patches and events and stuff go there before they're finalized to find bugs. When that's done, then they go live.

    Before this thread becomes a mess of splitting hairs and everyone taking everything the wrong way, Finn answered your question succinctly. I don't think he was trying to be rude. You could have asked what PTS was instead of reacting like he was being rude, right? Misunderstandings all around, it happens to all of us.

    Now let's all be friends and discuss the topic! HAPPY HAPPY!

    Neither answer is half-hearted response, as both are correct. A new build was placed on PTS to test the Winter Event, and depending on satisfactory stability, will launch when they are "done with it on PTS."

    As an additional note, when two people give equally valid responses, it brings out negative feelings when a "winner" is proclaimed. Just saying.

    These are the forums, not the game.

    People in game can be pretty nice.

    People in any game's forums tend to go there (especially to the discussion section) to vent when they're frustrated. Others are just rampaging turdballs.

    So, for those in the PTS, what changes, if any, are being wrought? I've heard there are two new mechs in the Factory, for instance...

    Does Clarence still prefer smashing to hugs? At the top of his mechanical lungs?

    I havnt tried to do any testing myself, but I did hear there is new Steam Punck costume pieces, which for me is enough to play the event on live.
