Okay. I have exactly ZERO interest in the Vehicles system. Yet my salvage slots are getting junked up with all the crap salvage and unwanted lock-boxes for Vehicles rather than other drops.
Is there any way to get it so I just flat-out ignore vehicle salvage?
Yes, I can just opt not to take the crap. But I'd rather have it so I never even see it in the first place.
As much as I'd LOVE to see a lockbox whitelist option, I wouldn't expect cryptic to cut you off from buying something. As for mods, there should absolutely be a opt out ability if you have zero interest in the vehicle system whatsoever.
REALLY getting old. That and my arthritis says mashing Z to pick it all up says "just dont pick anything up cos its all worthless). Arthritis is right sometimes!

Out of curiosity, what have you got against vendoring it/auctioning it?
It's like free money. If every vehicle drop was renamed "random stranger's lost wallet" and all you could do with it was sell it to a vendor for a random amount of resources from 55 to 2100 would you still have the same problem?
Because except for the name, that is exactly the situation you are in right now.
Most of the items are actually worth rather a lot at the AH. And they're all worth at least a few Locals at a vendor. I don't see the issue here.

Lockboxes stack to 999 so I just let 'em pile up and ignore 'em. The eleventy billion vehicle mods are a pain to auction and they're not likely to get you much if anything there. I'm vending all of mine.

Personally, I refuse to sell them at the AH because any use of the lockboxes other than destroying them supports gambling in this game. Even if its "other people" buying the keys to open the boxes you sold them, each of those extra boxes they have because of you is a promotion to having gambling in this game. I would rather go poor and have a buncha costume pieces I want selling at the AH for more than I could farm than make in-game money promoting gambling in this game.
Selling them at the vendors? I haven't tried that yet so I didn't know that it could be done. But even so it would detract from the sheer pleasure of destroying them and the knowledge I'm fighting against gambling in this game by doing so, so they better sell for a good amount at the vendors for me not to destroy them. Im kinda hoping for a full 99 box stack to see how it feels like to destroy that many on one sitting.

You can't vendor the lockboxes; I thought the OP was discussing the stuff that drops when you open one, or from the mobs when we're having Vehicle Mod Happy Hours. The mods can be vendored. There's also not much point to selling the Hover Tank Lockboxes in the AH, because they're about as rare as rubble in Westside, so the price approaches the nonexistent. Right now, I'm sticking them into a slot in my shared bank; if/when that hits 999, I'll probably offer the whole stack to someone for a global, or just toss 'em out. Meanwhile, the price on Takoboxes has risen to the point that I'm giving serious consideration to selling mine on the AH (I have around forty of them, I think).

My issue with it is I am getting vehicle mod drops instead of PC mod drops. The vehicle mod drops have replaced part of my PC's mod drops. They are not as frequent so now I have to grind even more.

Make sense. Basically you're saying the chance for something to drop has stayed the same while the loot table increased by a third. Meaning your odds of getting a particular non-vehicle mod has been reduced further.
Simple math really, and a good point.
Let me break your heart a bit an let you know that this is how Perfect World does their business, the part I hate about them (there are other things I like, but excessive grind based on "luck" instead of effort is what pisses me off)
Until we can purchase the specific types of mods from vendors, and the prices of Rank Up Catalysts is significantly reduced (like 50% to 90% reduced), I don't see this changing.
JonSills, I get that you can sell them on the Auction House but that's a gradually drying up market, like a bowl of water in a desert in the daytime. Eventually the Rank 1's you get in "Vehicle Mod Hour" are going to get to starting to look more like the market for Grab costume unlocks, Purple Gang Tommyguns, Resistance Nightsticks, and Heavy Tahias. Which is to say, rather worthless in comparison. Mark my words. Heck most of the rank 3's currently barely sell for 0.5g now. (exception: Flight Computer is VERY expensive because it gives you back speed and other benefits)
Good news is that if you have a vehicle, it's going to start to get progressively cheaper for you to rank them up. (say there's always a positive right?)
However, unlike the items in your examples, Vehicle Mods can always be vendored for a few Locals - and those do add up over time...

Fallacy, and you're either missing the point entirely or just being a smart-alek. I can't tell because there's no tone of voice or body language in written text.
Fine then: like the price of limited Become Devices during the events that drop them.
Where can I get a vehicle dummy? (I presume that's like the real vehicles, only since it's a dummy, all it does is provide transport...)

Fair enough on the boxes, but the vehicle mods don't necessarily relate to the boxes as you can buy a vehicle off the z-store and the tako box didn't have anything vehicle related.
And I do get the issue about them taking up drops that otherwise might be normal mods. HOWEVER, in my experience, selling vehicle mods on the AH, and using them to rank up my crafting skills, I have earned more money faster than before they existed and I have used that money to buy tier 6 and 7 non-vehicle mods that I couldn't afford before. So to me (I don't own a vehicle and don't expect to any time soon) even though I have no direct use for them, they have helped me get what I do have a use for.
