Strafing Run mechanic "fix"

Could this power be made so the crosshair is bound to the camera center instead of the mouse pointer with the first activation bringing up the crosshair and a second press of the power activating the strafing run on the targeted spot?

This change would allow the power to be used by keyboard/mouse users as well as controller users where as the current implementation makes the power all but unusable on a controller without needing a bunch of workarounds.

I use a mouse + keyboard and cannot get this power to fire off ... on any of my characters.

No matter what I try to do (re-press power key, press left or right mouse button, etc) IT WILL NOT FIRE.

I've asked some of the players in the forumite channel and they have no problems. So, I just don't get why I DO.

Finally somebody is talking sense! *lets him go* Sorry, but that has been bugging me big time as well. I'm way too use to my controller as well and I'll be damned to give it up now

You are not alone. I've got exactly the same problem. Please, can someone help us?

I use a 360 controller to fire Strafing Run on my main Tito and it works just fine after some tinkering. Sounds like the power would loose it's ability to move the attack spot... In my opinion I rather work around it's mechanic as it is today(I just leave the cursor at my feet and bind the mouse button to the D-pad on my controller) than loose the ability to move the attack spot. It's a very easy workaround in my opinion... no need to change it so drastically, but I wouldn't be opposed to an option setting for Strafing Run in the powers tab to customize it's mechanic including to what the OP states. I love options hehe.

I like the power the way it is. But there should be another option to have the targeting options be "mouse" (the way it is now) or "camera" (based entirely on camera direction).

I use a bind so I just shift + click the ground where I want to send the strafing run...

    /bind lshift+lbutton "+powertrayexec powerslot"

Ehm... it would not loose it's ability to move the target spot, it's just that you would have to do it by adjusting your camera instead (tilting and rotating it).

Optimally would be if we could choose between the two mechanics but if we only get one single one then I think using the camera would be better (and I say that as a keyb/mouse user) since it would most likely function better "out of the box" so to say.
