what's a good pvp friendly melee/ranged hybrid build that looks flashy?

Hey all. First time in forums, i usually just play the game.

Anywho, I'm wondering if there are any melee/ranged hybrid setups a FREEFORM character can utilize, leans more on melee for damage and ranged for debuffs/CC/pulls to melee and is able to take a few good hits before falling, And Looks cool while doing it, Prefer it be viable for PVP and lean on being a hard to kill pest.

My current build is a ranged, ebon ruin-geyser spamming build with molecular self assembly and primal aura, So i'm bored of that and was thinking what the melee players feel is a fun and viable combo?

I'm not neccesarily looking for a mainstream build, More of a build that functions well if played smart, IE- not easily copied.

Depends on what you mean by "pvp." Which game type were you looking to play?

    > Concept

    > PvP

    Pick one.

...I just recently realized something really disturbing. We're all eating Sodapop3's "humble pie."

That's not gonna work. If you want build help you have to go about it one of two ways.

    Either:

    a) Ask for a mainstream, brainless, ezmode build that lots of other people are using for that reason.

    or

    b) Think up your own build, then post that build and ask for advice on how to make it better.

Asking people to think up an original build that you personally will find a lot of fun and think is cool looking is sort of a tall order, given that no one really knows what you consider fun or flashy or smart.

Also, try the hero games forums. The people there are so starved for threads lately that they'll jump all over your requests for assistance.

Champions Online: Be the hero you wish you could be in a better game.

Get Demolish with Below the Belt.

    Take AoPM, Force Cascade.

    Melee-ranged hybrid, gogogo.
    Brou in Cryptic games.

Pistol powers are a great mix of melee and range!

Max out Bullet Beatdown, Two Gun Mojo, and Breakaway Shot.

Unarmed Martial Arts + Ebon Ruin.

Well, Ebon Ruin doesn't exactly look flashy...

Force Cascade isn't flashy. :P Just use the current munitions flavor of the month and you'll be good to go. Sort of. :P

Wrong again. I've seen a lot of concept builds that were great in pvp.

Quite a contradiction to ask for a build that you intend to copy but is not easily copied.

i hope some of mine were on your mind when you said that

not every concept can be modified to be good in PVP, but some can for sure

Wrong again. I've seen a lot of concept builds that were great in pvp.

That was before On Alert crashed into live.

The only PvP friendly concepts are the ones that naturally counter the basics of AoPM clowns.

Lightning Reflexes + CON based build. Become unkillable in trade of pretty much 70% of your damage output. You can call that 'great in PvP' because you don't die.

Shadow Form, Dark / Light Abomination. Darkness attacks, Celestial defenses and tools, heavy resistance against Ebon Ruin, still too generic but at least you don't look like a clown. It will also be a challenge as you'll have to strech your stats to impossible levels so you can match half of what AoPM offers on its own, but it works.

Doing great in PvP doesn't equal slaughtering that Unleashed or some random dual bladed ninja.

Oh yes, you can also use Quarry for whatever you wish but it won't work anyways.

What i meant was a build that you can "Copy" in the build for it sense, But it took actual skill to do good with it.
