Changing screen resolution

Typically, changing screen resolution is a simple matter of going to Options => Video. I have a bit of a different problem here, though.

There was a power glitch this morning, and my monitor died. (There is a surge protector in place, but the monitor was old and I think it just gave out from natural causes.) I had another one on hand (which is how I'm able to post this), but I had the old one on maximum resolution, which this one doesn't support. Now when I call up CO (or STO for that matter) it comes up in that old, higher resolution, meaning that the right side and bottom are cut off and can't be accessed.

As it happens, the Options button is in the lower right-hand corner, out of reach. I can activate a character, but I have the same effect and in both games the Options button is in the map view control panel, which is also off the screen.

Is there a command option I can use to lower my screen resolution so I can resume play?

Hit options in the launcher and tick "safe mode"

i think you can also type /options while actually in-game
